LIFE OUTSIDE W ORK

Exercise and ‘me time’ will help
To reach a happy medium between
work and play, it’s important to make
some time for yourself. Whether it’s
doing a yoga class, a spot of exercise
or reading a book, time away from the
computer (and work) will help you to
focus and encourage you to be more
productive once you’re at your desk.
Socialising and spending time with
friends is also a great distraction from
the stresses of work. Go on a night out
or to the cinema, or a shopping trip at
the weekend – it will make you feel
good and give you something to look
forward to during the working week.
If your house feels more like a hotel
– somewhere to sleep before you rush
back to work again – then make it feel
more homely by decorating it so it has a
personal touch. If you work from home,
create a study area so that work doesn’t
invade your whole house. Sleep is vital
for your productivity and your wellbeing,
so wind down at a reasonable time.
