I intended to stay for six months, but due to the flexibility and opportunities within the company, I’m still here 16 years later! I loved helping people develop, while also enhancing my own professional skills. From there, I went to my current role as Project Coordinator. The best thing about JD Williams is the variety of projects I get to work on – as well as using my staff discount to indulge my hobby – shopping!’ Carol Taylor, Sales Team Manager ‘I wanted to join JD Williams because it’s an established, secure company. I started out as an Adviser 11 years ago and progressed to Team Manager. The role CAROL TAYLOR still challenges me every day with the variety of work. It’s definitely not a typical contact centre role! The relationship we have with customers is different – they’re loyal to us and respect our expertise and fashion advice to flatter all shapes and sizes. My personal highlight was winning Team Manager of the Year at our annual awards ceremony last year. It felt great to have my hard work recognised by colleagues and managers.’ Janet Parish, Events Manager ‘Over my 10 years at JD Williams, I’ve been an Adviser and Coach and I now have the role of Events Manager. I get to create amazing, largescale, company-wide JANET PARISH events, including our annual awards ceremony, Christmas party, summer BBQ and many more. I’ve also recently joined our corporate social responsibility team, which is so rewarding. The best thing about JD Williams is the flexibility it offers. It has allowed my career to be tailored to the right work-life balance for me, so I can indulge my thirst for education. I’m currently studying for a degree in psychology and also catering to my creative side by learning cake decorating!
