NOTEBOOK PROPERTY NEWS, ESSENTIAL TIPS AND KEY DIARY DATES… THROUGH THE KEYHOLE It’s official, the Brits are property addicts. According to new research by 82% of you spend at least one hour per day looking at property online when actively seeking a new home. And 14% of people spend more than three hours a day, to ensure they keep right up-to-date with the latest lettings, rentals and offers on the market. It’s not only those looking to move who are guilty of these online house habits: 55% of the UK look at property online for a spot of window shopping, nosing at neighbours’ homes or out of curiosity to find out what the marketing is offering. In fact, around 5% of these window shoppers spend a whopping three hours plus online – they’re true property partisans! APRIL 2013 | 017 17-20 newsFINAL.indd 17 28/2/13 17:14:29
