While education is important, Claire
believes it's confidence that prevails.
She actually wanted a career in modelling
when she left school, but her mum
made her learn a trade to have something
to fall back on. 'I went to beauty college
because I was interested in theatrical
make-up and TV work,' she says. 'I
earned my diplomas for beauty and
hairdressing, but sadly my mum died
suddenly so I had to go out and work.
I'd taken catering lessons when I was
at boarding school and loved them, so
I put that knowledge to good use and
started a sandwich round, supplying
to petrol stations, gyms and builders,

management company, which Peter
and a whole host of other celebrities are

involved in magazine pop roadshows
in the 90s, which were a springboard
for so many bands. But she won't take
on any old wannabe, they've got to be
passionate about their career.
