| DIET RESCUE|
Supersize vs Superskinny
Whether it’s eating too much or too little, problem eaters all over the country are given life transforming advice on their bad dietary habits during an often emotional clinic stay on this hit documentary series
r Christian Jessen’s feeding clinic is set to open its doors for a fifth series of diet swaps, hoping to follow the success of the fourth, which featured some of the most dramatic exchanges the show has ever seen. Each episode follows the journey of two extreme eaters – one who is very overweight and the other severely underweight. In an attempt to change their dysfunctional relationship with food, the patients exchange daily diet plans under the careful guidance of Dr Christian. We caught up with some of the clinic’s former patients to see how much appearing on the show has changed their lifestyle and waistlines.

‘MY PERSONALITY ALTERED’
WORDS: Alice Newbold | PHOTOGRAPHS: Courtesy of Endemol
Ami Walsh, a 20-year-old supervisor and student from Devon, realised her change in personality was down to her habit of never making enough time for food in her day ‘Food was never a necessity for me. Busy at college and working at a bakery, I used to rush around and not think about food. If I was hungry I used to bypass the feeling as I never had time to sit down and eat. ‘As I was working harder and harder at work and college the weight began dropping off me. I never realised it >
Ami’s time in the clinic helped her to understand food
Ami confronted her inability to eat in the morning
