StolEn John DEErE trACtorS rECovErED Two John Deere 6830 150 HP tractors used for peat production were stolen from Ballivor Works on 12th June 2011. Unfortunately, this type of theft is becoming a problem in the agriculture industry. We are very grateful for the co-operation of the Gardaí and members of the public, who helped us to find the tractors. Thankfully, they were discovered in a remote location in Cavan on July 5 and returned to Ballivor Works. A number of locals are helping the Gardaí with their enquiries. a MoSt reputable coMpaNy powergeN perForMS well Bord na Móna confirmed its place as one of Ireland’s most reputable companies with the release of a survey in May. The Reputation Institute conducted its RepTrak™ 2011 survey with over 3,360 people and examined over 120+ companies. Ranking was affected by whether respondents admired and respected the company, trusted the company, felt good about the company and believed the company has a good reputation overall. Bord na Móna ranked 22nd overall, while also placing 8th amongst indigenous Irish companies and first in energy. The availability of the Bellacorick wind farm at 97% in 2011 is a very credible performance, while the availability of the peat/biomass unit at Edenderry over the same period is a reasonable 91.8%. Asset availability remains a key performance indicator for the PowerGen business unit and, with all assets returning availability levels above 90% to date, 2011 has started in a very encouraging fashion for the business. 6 | Source Summer 2011
