Tanzania announced that no mining will take place in the Selous Game Reserve World Heritage site - but we're pressing for more action to secure this important wilderness against poaching and other threats. At the UNESCO World Heritage meeting in July, Spain reaffirmed its commitment not to dredge the Guadalquivir River - one of the threats facing Doñana, Europe's most important wetland.
