DIRECTOR OF SALES AND MARKETING, INNOVATE CV With hundreds of CVs for each application, two main challenges face the corporate: how to shortlist the right candidates for interview and yet not tie up HR in a lengthy reading/filter; and secondly when it comes to the interview stage, not draw management in multiple interviews that are filled with candidates that are the wrong fit. There are of course technologies that do streamline this process but in a classic approach it is important to look for a candidate’s potential within their CV rather than just their past career experience. Look at their overall life experience, skills sets and how they describe themselves and their achievements to get a greater understanding of the person behind the CV. Of course management are the key profit generators for the business. It’s all about reducing their downtime and so it’s vital to use a host of pre-screening techniques beyond an initial read of the CV.
