Crispy breadcrumbs on the outside with soft, tasty chicken and garlic and herb butter on the inside. They don’t take long to cook, just 12-15 minutes and they’re ready. Luckily, when you bite into the kievs, the butter doesn’t spray all over your shirt, but there’s enough inside to keep them moist.’ Fry’s Vegetarian Cocktail Sausage Rolls £3.39, Goodnessdirect.co.uk Jessica Molloney: ‘I enjoyed these tasty sausage rolls so much I had to double check I was eating veggie ones! The vegetarian sausage is bursting with avour from being encased in a layer of wholegrain mustard and the pu pastry really is deliciously crispy. Completely vegan and cholesterol-free, too – amazing!’ Duck Straws With Hoisin Sauce £4, Morrisons Lynne Maxwell: ‘Loving Pekingstyle duck as I do, these duck straws with hoisin sauce are delicious. Fresh from the oven, or cold a day later, the tender pieces of roasted duck together with a tingle of spice from the sauce make these perfect to have at a party bu et or as part of hor d’oeuvres ahead of a meal.’ 50 piece Indian Platter £4, The Co-operative Kelly Lever: ‘All of these nibbles are delicious, so much so that they taste homemade. They all cooked well in the oven, too, and crisped up as they should be. The llings in the samosas have a subtle spice which is tasty.
