YOUTH VOICES FOR THE FUTURE Young people from around the world reflect on how nature and humanity can thrive together in the coming decades. One of the key factors impacting our success in helping people and nature thrive (from my perspective) is recognizing how we are showing up and ensuring that we are acting from a space of connectedness - our innate way of being. Because how we show up reflects in the work that we do. This means prioritizing self-awareness and self-care practices to feed our mind, body, and spirit before we can serve people and nature. May every one of us be whole, connected, and aware. Zaynab Sadan (South Africa) To deal with the climate crisis, we need everyone. We need green transition plans that incorporate diversity and equity. This is a time for us to continue with our individual actions, but to do it as a collective. To collaborate and not compete. It's time to embrace the complexity of the climate crisis and recognize that we might not always get it right but we hold ourselves (and people in power) accountable to constantly do better.
