Entrepreneurs learning curve and it's the trials and errors that shape your company. I definitely now know the kind of person I would appoint to work with 360 and I know what to walk away from. What advice would you give to someone who is considering starting a business? LB Think about the end goal and then break it down into manageable short-term goals. You need to think about what your business is going to stand for and it's vital to reflect on your successes and failures. Continue to have an open dialogue with your clients so you're aware of what changes and improvements you can implement to achieve the best outcome. Do you think it's possible to achieve a good work/life balance? 360 Search: Sarah McGrath (left) and Lynda Barnes SM Ireland does have a bit of a culture of those who work hardest are the best. But we try hard to achieve balance - and we focus on that within the team. Both Lynda and I take time out to exercise and spend time with our families. We like to lead by example, but equally we know there are times when we need to put long hours in. Recruitment is very unpredictable and deals can fall apart, but that's when we pick each other up. You have to look at the broader picture and invest in mind and body too - it's very much about trust and empowerment. What's your next goal? LB Our intention is to go to London so we'll be there to support the people who may want to come back to Ireland if there's a hard Brexit, and it makes sense to use Recruitment Entrepreneur as a hub and recruit from its offices. We've also had some very encouraging conversations with the Irish Development Authority, the body that supports organisations that want to locate themselves in Ireland, about being their recruitment partner of choice. We hope to see the business flourish and are confident we can push 360 internationally.
