Bringing you the Sligo Walk 2012

The Annual Sligo Walk, hosted by ESB Sligo, took place on Saturday 12th May. There were over 200 entries and the weather was cool and dry except for a couple of very welcome showers. The overall winner was Paul Murray from Moneypoint and the winning team was the Kilkenny team. The first lady home was Teresa McMorrow from Castlebar. The Ned Brazil Perpetual trophy for the first Dublin person home went to Mick Harkin.

2013 will be the 50th anniversary of the first Sligo Walk when a group of staff walked the 50 miles from Sligo to Castlebar. The Walk Committee looks forward to your continued support for this important commemoration.

Una Kernan, HR ESB Networks is joined by her colleagues from Group HR: Tom McMahon, Margaret Keating and Billy Byrne, at the recent Dublin Docklands 5km Fun Run, in aid of Barnardos. This is a beautiful run from Grand Canal Dock, along the south and north banks of the Liffey, over the Samuel Beckett and Sean O’Casey Bridges, past the O2, the new Convention Centre and the CHQ. The group completed the run in very impressive times (all well under 30 minutes), while still managing to make the most of the lovely views.
