OUR GLOBAL GOALS HOW WE WILL GET THERE We will work with partners to improve fisheries management and boost investment in policy, legislation and implementation. Our ambition is to increase sustainability, reduce illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, and halve the catch of key marine species. We will focus on securing the future of coastal communities with a high dependence on natural resources and where threats are increasing. Building the capacity of communities will involve solutions such as alternative development pathways and enhancing the resilience and sustainable management of marine resources. We will focus on implementing a plastic pollution-free plan in cities where the problem is most acute. Our work will also focus on redesigning plastic-polluting products and building a knowledge sharing platform to connect cities, stakeholders and partners. We will be a strong champion of sustainable development, helping to mobilize private sector leadership for ocean stewardship, and to redirect public and private sector finance in support of healthy oceans. And we will help drive the conservation of ocean habitats such as coral reefs and mangroves. Scalable, high-impact solutions will be developed and applied to remove local threats to coral reefs in critical locations, while generating support to build and maintain resilience at these sites. OUTCOMES BY 2030 n CONSERVE AND EFFECTIVELY MANAGE AT LEAST 30% OF COASTAL AND MARINE ECOSYSTEMS. n DOUBLE THE WORLD'S SUSTAINABLY MANAGED FISHERIES. WWF-INT Strategy Report 2018 page 19
