WILDLIFE
2018
THE CHALLENGE

SINCE 1970, GLOBAL POPULATIONS OF FISH, BIRDS,
MAMMALS, AMPHIBIANS AND REPTILES HAVE FALLEN BY
MORE THAN HALF. THIS DRAMATIC DECLINE IS THE RESULT
OF PEOPLE DESTROYING AND DAMAGING VAST AREAS
OF NATURAL HABITAT. IT HAS ALSO BEEN CAUSED BY
OVER-EXPLOITATION − THROUGH UNSUSTAINABLE LEVELS
OF HUNTING, FISHING AND HARVESTING AND THROUGH
POACHING FOR THE ILLEGAL WILDLIFE TRADE. WE NEED TO
ACT NOW TO REVERSE THE LOSS OF NATURE AND CREATE A
FUTURE WHERE WILDLIFE THRIVES AGAIN.
Our goal; wildlife thriving - the world's
most threatened and ecologically,
economically and culturally important
species are secure in the wild.
