We worked with the government of Brazil and other partners including the World Bank, GEF and German Development Bank to launch ARPA in 2002. FORESTS AND CLIMATE The Paris climate agreement echoed WWF's position by highlighting the importance of ending deforestation, with tropical forest countries, donor countries, private sector companies and civil society promising new efforts to conserve and restore forests and the carbon they contain.
