THE BRAVE NEW FRONTIER
OF FINANCE

Crowdfunding through InvestingZone, a sophisticated online equity fundraising platform.

HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
First of all, what is Equity
Crowdfunding?

| ONSIDE WINTER 2016

Equity Crowdfunding is the
process whereby a large number
of subscribers provide finance to a
business in return for shares in the
company. Through InvestingZone,
an investor can invest in a number
of the UK's potentially most
exciting high-growth companies
that are cornerstoned by leading
private and institutional investors.

Who is behind InvestingZone?
InvestingZone is a spin-out of
e-synergy and is managed by Jean
Miller, who secured investment in
2012 to create the secure dealing
platform.
InvestingZone dovetails operationally with established Seneca group
company Acceleris Capital bringing
high quality deals and a large
network of expertise to the platform.

What is Seneca's interest in this
new form of investing?

How is this different to other
investments I might have?

InvestingZone is the latest addition
to Seneca's offering to SMEs
and high net worth investors.
Companies can now truly go on
a journey from start-up to exit
using the services and resources
of the Seneca group of companies.
Acceleris
Capital's
strategic
relationship with InvestingZone
is the first formal collaboration
of corporate finance expertise
and equity crowdfunding in the
UK. Acceleris bring 16 years' of
experience in SME finance with
them, creating an environment
where an emerging new investor
group can invest in confidence
alongside professionals in sensible,
structured deals.

Buying shares in a company on
the InvestingZone platform is very
similar to buying shares in any
private company, a process which
Acceleris has been carrying out
for over 16 years, although not
online. The investor will become
a shareholder in that company
and as is the case with traditional
investing, the investor will enjoy
all the benefits of a shareholder,
including the right to receive
dividends, the right to make followon investments and the right to
vote. The investment may also
qualify for generous SEIS or EIS tax
reliefs which can reduce the cost of
investment significantly.
