Seneca advises on new route forward for
Cabfind

Seneca Partners has backed Paul Dixon in the
acquisition of Lancashire-based WS Rothband
& Co, a business established in 1860 that has
been supplying the NHS for almost 70 years.

eneca's corporate finance team has advised the
shareholders of Cabfind.com on its sale to Transdev
PLC, one of the world's biggest transport operators
with €6.6 billion of revenues in 2013.

Cabfind.com was set up by brothers Chris and Tim Jordan
in 2005 and the Wirral based transport management
business has developed a technology enabled transport-ondemand service via private hire cars and coaches generating
turnover of £17m in 2014.

Tim Murphy, director of Seneca Partners, said: "Rothband
is exactly the type of business we are looking to support
and develop.

The Seneca team, led by Gordon Lane and Andrew Stubbs,
worked closely with the shareholders of the family owned
business as they considered their strategic options and
ultimately assisted in delivering a successful transaction.

S Rothband & Co has been at the forefront of
the development and manufacture of protective
equipment for radiology departments since the
technology was first introduced to the NHS.

"This long standing niche manufacturer provides an
ideal platform for expansion and we are delighted to be
supporting Paul Dixon's exciting growth plans."
The deal itself was relatively complex and brought together
support from FW Capital, Rosebud Business Finance
(Lancashire County Council) and Ultimate Invoice Finance.
Paul Dixon said: "One of the key factors in completing
this acquisition and being able to successfully implement
our growth plan, was always going to be finding the right
team."

Chris Jordan, Managing Director at
Cabfind.com commented on the deal
saying:
