stand-alone software.
Ulrike Lauterbach, RTW's Director of
Sales and Marketing says: "Our audio
metering solutions are available as
software solutions and as hardware
units in different versions
providing a variety of sizes,
mounting variants and feature
sets for broad applications, no
matter if it is a small editing suite,
a recording studio or a grand
production facility."
The TM7/TM9 TouchMonitors
feature a 7-inch and 9-inch
screen that provides the user
with intuitive control. The
instruments can be scaled,

randomly positioned and combined
for optimal use of available screen
space. The customer can decide which
instruments are needed, e.g. PPM,
TruePPM, Correlator, Vectorscope,
Real Time Analyser, Surround Sound
Analyzer and loudness display with
logging function. With presets that can
be created via the configuration menu,
different setups can be easily recalled.
Depending on the customer's needs,

the TouchMonitors can be equipped
with analogue, AES3, AES3id and/or
3G/HD/SDI interfaces. The TMR7 is a
special edition, which is limited to two
AES3 inputs/outputs for four channels.
The mid-range section is the TM3
TouchMonitors, which consist of a
display unit and separate interface
box. The customer can select between
a version with analogue and digital
audio interfaces and the 3G version
RTW TM3 Primus with additional SDI interface.
Mastering Tools Both versions can handle up to
six channels. The latest addition
to the TM3 product portfolio is a
rack-mount option for the units.
The standard product comes as
table-top version. The TM3 also
allows creating presets. This
can be done with the DC1 Device
Software for Windows® and Mac
OS X®.
For smaller applications, RTW

RTW TM7

has introduced the TM3-Primus as
well as the MM3 MusicMeter. Both
units are equipped with a two-channel
stereo analogue input and a twochannel stereo digital S/PDIF input/
output. They provide a USB interface,
which is especially handy when used
with the USB Connect plug-in. Stereo
and surround audio metering may be
performed from the DAW. The TM3Primus allows the user to choose from
different instrument combinations in
the configuration menu. For the TM3Primus, RTW also offers a rackmount
solution in addition to the standard
table-top version. The MM3 has fixed
views with different instrument
combinations for optimised reading
that can be selected with a simple
finger swipe.

On our stand, we are
demonstrating a number
of innovative solutions.
This includes our high
density Integrated Receiver
Decoder
(IRD)
which
allows for 16 channels to be
simultaneously decoded on a 1U
chassis. It is the highest density
IRD currently on the market and is

completely software based, running as
apps on standard IT hardware.
In addition to traditional SDI, the
decoder now supports decoding to
uncompressed IP outputs using a
new 25GbE interface. This is the only
encoder/decoder pair to support
25GbE, allowing for ultra-high density
deployments.
Another solution we will be
demonstrating is our new Remote
Production solution. This will allow
broadcasters to reduce the complexity
of off-site production by sending
multiple video paths back to base over
a variety of networks, managed or
unmanaged.
We will also be showing ultra-low
latency VC-2 compression, further
demonstrating that software solutions
can deliver latency comparable with
legacy broadcast hardware.
