he rapidly expanding role of
software in the professional
production landscape has made video
interface devices extremely critical
components of today's integrated
workflows, forming the bridge between
traditional video signals and computerbased solutions.
Even the most powerful software
applications are severely limited if
users can't easily and reliably get
high-quality video signals into and
out of the system whenever and
wherever they need to.

New for NAB
Magewell is coming to this year's
NAB Show with its most extensive
range of products to date, and will
expand its lineup further with a
number of new introductions. While

Magewell is best known for products
such as the Pro Capture family of PCI
Express cards and the award-winning
USB Capture Plus series of plug-andplay external devices, their key theme
this year is that the company doesn't
only offer solutions for video capture.
Last year, Magewell unveiled the
Flex I/O family of PCIe input-output
cards, which extends the company's
highly regarded video capture benefits
to playout applications. At this year's
show, Booth SU6324, Magewell will
feature two Flex I/O models - one
offering SDI connectivity, and the
other with HDMI - each with four
input channels and two outputs, all of
which can be used simultaneously with
independent resolutions, frame rates
and processing settings for maximum
flexibility.
But Magewell's biggest news
promises to be the unveiling of a major
new product line that expands the

company's scope even further beyond
video capture and playout.
Magewell will also have news in
its video capture product lines. The
Pro Capture family gains new dualchannel 4K models, and High Dynamic
Range (HDR) support is being added
to the line's 4Kp60 models with HDMI
interfaces. The latest USB Capture
Plus devices will be highlighted, as will
the Eco Capture family of M.2 capture
cards, which offers OEMs and systems
integrators an ultra-compact form
factor with low power consumption for
use in small and embedded systems.
The first four Eco Capture models
measure just 22x80mm, and provide
single-channel 4K, dual-channel HD or
quad-channel HD capture.
