With its new USB-C Expansion Port, it eliminates the need for expensive external recorders. Users are able to record using the internal SD/UHS-II and CFast recorders or directly to the same external disks they will use for editing and colour correction. The camera boasts a full size 4/3 HDR sensor with native 4096 x 2160 resolution and 13 stops of dynamic range for true digital film quality. It can record 4K images at up to 60 frames per second and windowed HD at up to 120fps. The full size of the 4/3 sensor is designed to match MFT lenses so the crop factor is greatly reduced, giving customers a wider field of view. Other features include an MFT lens mount, large 5-inch touchscreen monitor, 10bit ProRes and 12-bit RAW recording, 3D LUTs, 4 built-in microphones, mini XLR audio input with phantom power, Bluetooth wireless camera control and HDMI on set monitoring output. Fourth generation Blackmagic Design colour science lets customers shoot HDR images in film, video and new extended video modes. The extended mode combines the latitude of digital film with an optimised video file to give customers working on fast turnaround projects an ideal solution for shooting great looking images that don't need a lot of colour correction or post production work. Images can be recorded onto standard SD cards, faster UHS-II cards or CFast 2.0 cards in either ProRes or RAW formats. ATEM Television Studio Pro 4K Live Production The new ATEM Television Studio Pro 4K is an all-in-one Ultra HD live production switcher with integrated hardware control panel. It features eight independent 12G-SDI inputs, built-in Fairlight audio mixer, ATEM Advanced Chroma Keyer, multiview, auxiliary and program outputs, analogue audio inputs, built-in talkback, two flash-based media players, professional creative transitions, and a DVE for effects. With its portable design, the hardware panel features large illuminated buttons for switching between sources, along with corresponding audio buttons, one touch transition buttons, downstream keyers, fade to black, media player, cut buttons and more. There is also a built-in LCD screen for previewing source and program video, a spin knob and additional buttons for menus and to adjust settings. When used with Blackmagic Studio, URSA Mini, URSA Broadcast and Micro Studio cameras, customers have a complete remote control solution that includes talkback, tally, colour correction and camera control, without having to add additional cables or proprietary control boxes. The cameras feature a built-in colour corrector that can be remote controlled, making it possible to balance camera colour and create unique looks, all from the control panel. In addition, customers can adjust focus and iris on compatible lenses, change camera settings, and remote control PTZ heads. For maximum speed and flexibility in live productions, ATEM Television Studio Pro 4K includes a free software control panel for Mac and Windows that allows multiple users to be connected at the same time. The new Blackmagic MultiView 4 HD lets customers monitor four independent SDI video sources on a single display. Customers Pocket Cinema Camera 4K can monitor any combination of SD and HD formats and frame rates at the same time. All inputs feature automatic frame re-synchronisation, so customers can mix and match any combination of video standards and frame rates, including referenced or non-referenced NTSC, PAL, 720p, 1080i and 1080p60 frames per second. As it offers both SDI and HDMI outputs, the multiviewer can be used with professional SDI broadcast displays or big screen consumer HD televisions. When combined with an HDMI television, Blackmagic MultiView 4 HD gives customers an affordable professional multiview solution, making it ideal for use in control rooms, OB trucks, or on location shooting at live events. Designed to be plug and play, connected sources will instantly be displayed in a standard 2x2 grid layout. Customers can use the mini switches to turn on audio meters, choose which audio to output, as well as create custom labels. Software Support Another significant announcement from Blackmagic Design involved the launch of DaVinci Resolve 15. The software update fully integrates visual effects and motion graphics, combining professional offline and online editing, colour correction, audio post production, multi user collaboration and visual effects together in one software tool. The upgrade also adds a new Fusion page.
