FIN / USA: Finland's leading
commercial TV network, MTV3,
has rolled out a news workflow
powered by Avid MediaCentral.
Part of the Bonnier Group, one of
the largest media companies in the
Nordics, MTV3 and its production
house, Mediahub, has the largest
audience share among Finland's
commercial TV channels.
It broadcasts news programmes
twice a day, seven days a week as
well as a diverse range of content
including sports, entertainment,
and films reaching millions of
viewers.

TerraBlock 24EX/16 64TB shared
storage system to Ethiopian
regional
broadcaster,
Addis
Ababa State TV (Addis Ababa City
Government Mass Media Agency)
known as 'the voice of the city'.
Throughout the project, at one
of the most advanced broadcast
facilities in the region, Facilis
worked closely with local channel
partner, Onset Media Systems.

Dollar, Multi-Year Deal

The move will transform the media
company's
multiple,
disparate
workflows, uniting production and
media assets under the powerful
Dalet Galaxy MAM and Workflow
Orchestration platform, and provide a
flexible and agile framework to adjust
workflows and operations as business
demands evolve.

Faced with a rigid video production

key infrastructure were replicated
in a siloed setup across multiple
locations, the broadcaster undertook a
procurement process for a technology
and development partner that would
help migration to an interconnected
workflow.
This allowed consolidation of
systems, with centralised media
assets, and enhanced collaboration
across locations.

PBS Channels Launch On Cinegy Air PRO
C
inegy's Air PRO bundle has
been deployed by WEDUTV, Tampa, Florida, to get four
new channels on air.

Received from Munich on a
Friday and deployed on-air in
Tampa by Monday, the Cinegy
Air Pro bundle enabled WEDUTV to begin transmitting one
HD channel with local-origin
programming; the Florida Channel, a
satellite feed of legislative events; plus
PBS Kids and Create TV picked up from
neighbouring PBS station WUSF.
WEDU was also able to add all
required legal ID's and announcements
"on the fly" during the transition of the

channels.
Frank Wolynski, VP, Engineering,
WEDU-TV, said, "We received the
Cinegy air PRO bundle dongles on a
Friday and were on-air by Monday
with no surprises except the ease with

which we were able to deploy,
due in no small part to the
responsiveness of Cinegy and
the intuitiveness of the Air
PRO Bundle."
Cinegy Air PRO Bundle
can entirely offload HEVC
and H.264 stream encoding
onto an NVIDIA GPU. Users
can effortlessly stream UHD
content using OTS hardware.
Cinegy Air PRO includes in-built
channel branding, making it easy
to control multiple channels that
air identical content, but require
regionalised
commercials
and
branding.
