Jünger's AIXpressor

The 1U device is based on x86
processors and equipped with a range
of interfaces including redundant
Audio-over-IP with full compatibility
to AES67 and SMPTE ST2110, USB
host and client interfaces as well as
MADI, AES/EBU and analogue I/Os.
The unit also has four slots for optional
interfaces, all of which are compatible
with Junger Audio's existing D*AP
series of audio processors. These
include 3G/HD/SD SDI, MADI and
Audinate Dante. Jünger Audio has also
developed a new optical connection
that can transmit up to 1152 audio
channels in each direction.
JVC's ProHD Command Centre
is designed to monitor and track
all JVC ProHD Bridge units and
IP-enabled cameras in the field.
It provides a full screen real-time
map of all GPS-enabled resources,
including live video feeds. Operators
can monitor parameters such as
signal strength, signal to noise ratio,
error correction status. The unit can
send live images to master control,
websites, and social media platforms.
The user can add metadata to any
field camera recording and has
access to an optional interface with
newsroom systems. The user can
also communicate with any camera
operator.
Link Electronics' ACE-2000, ACE2100, and ACE-2200 automated
captioning processors convert speech
to text and send the text out with
captioning data to be encoded by
a closed captioning encoder. The

ACE units are claimed to achieve an
average of 95 per cent accuracy in
English and Spanish with an average
latency of three to five seconds. The
ACE-2000 can de-embed the first two
channels of audio from an SDI input
or an HDMI input. It also accepts
balanced AES or balanced analogue
audio and can ingest streaming audio
using http, tcp, udp, mmsh, and most
types of rstp and rtmp. Captioning data
and text can be sent out by either RS
232 (Serial) or TCP/IP.
Logitek's Helix is a multi-touch
interface available in both physical
and virtual versions for use with across
audio production consoles, screens,
tablets and phones. The physical
versions have large physical on/off
buttons combined with touch-sensitive
motorised faders; other functions such
as source selection, bus assignments
and macros appear on a 7-inch
IPS touchscreen which can be fully
customised. Helix Radio is available in
sizes from six to 24 faders; it includes
a monitor module and an HDMI output
for a touchscreen meter/control
bridge. Modules can be mounted in a
single or split desktop frame.
Marquis Broadcast's Worx4 X is
designed to reduce Apple FCP X project
size dramatically without quality loss
or using compression. Also being
introduced is Worx4 Pro for identifying
where all the media in a project is
stored within Adobe Premiere Pro.

market. Among new features designed
to increase newsroom efficiency are:
Enhanced assignment sorting and
grouping; Advanced clip and rundown
management; Rules-based archiving
of social media content; Live on-air
insertion of social media posts; Fast
conform of rundown timing after a
rehearsal; Fast story editing; Fast
clip insertion/replacement; Custom
shortcuts allowing new slugs in a
rundown to be created faster than
ever.
Sachtler claims its Flowtech 75
camera mount has the world's fastest
tripod legs. Weighing 3.5kg including
feet and mid-level spreader, it has
quick release brakes, carbon fibre legs
with magnetic locks and a hinge lock
mechanism for low and high shots.
Utah Scientific will demonstrate
its new 400 Series hybrid digital
router can handle any number of IP
and SDI signal formats along with
audio and data. The new SMPTE
ST 2110 and SMPTE ST 2022-6/7 IP
formats are supported, along with
3G-SDI, analogue, HD, SD, and audio
signals including analogue, digital
AES3, MADI, TDM, and AES 67. What
is claimed to be the world's first SDI/
IP hybrid pass-through card will
be available in the 400 Series. The
pass-through card will change how
broadcasters look at the SDI/
IP transition. The router
is backed by a no-fee 10year warranty. Also on
show will be the UHD12G digital routing
switcher which can
operate
at
data
rates from SD up to
2160p60 in a singlelink interconnect.
Vinten's Vantage robotic head
is compatible with a wide range of
studio/ENG cameras, camcorders and
lenses. Designed to deliver smooth
on-air motion shots and low noise
operation, it accepts a 4.5kg payload
and can be mounted on a tripod, wall
or a ceiling. Multiple Vantage heads
and fusion robotics, as well as various

PTZ cameras, can be operated from a
single Vinten control platform.
Vitec will demonstrate the latest
version of its EZ TV IPTV and Digital
Signage Platform can now manage
and drive complex video wall setups.
It is interoperable with the latest
content protection and DRM standards
required for IPTV deployments.
Zaxcom's ZMT3-HH is a handheld
microphone with an integral digital
wireless transmitter and microSD
recorder with timecode. Claimed
battery life is up to 14 hours. Zaxcom's
'NeverClip' extends the dynamic range
of the microphone to 128 dB. If for
any reason a wireless transmission is
not possible due to radio frequency
interference or lack of available
channels, an XLR output becomes the
fallback.
ZOO Digital will demonstrate a new
security feature that incorporates
machine
learning
and
facial
recognition. It automatically obscures
video streams in all areas except
those necessary for the subtitling and
dubbing process. The feature works
similarly to rotoscoping, a visual
effects technique used to create a
matte for a live action sequence for
compositing purposes. It obscures all
parts of each frame except the faces or
mouths of screen actors, which need to
be shown for accurate lip sync.
