ChyronHego Appoints
Asia-Pacific Sales Duo
SIN: ChyronHego has appointed Ivy
Wee as Vice President of Sales and
John Foo as Director of Sales for the
company's Asia-Pacific operation.
Together, Wee and Foo will manage
the APAC team and take charge of all
ChyronHego's sales, marketing, and
business operations initiatives in the
region.
Wee brings more than 20 years
of manager and director level
sales experience at technology
companies to her new role.
Previously, she served as
Regional Sales Director,
APAC, for the Vitec Group,
preceded by Southeast Asia
Business Manager, Digital Publishing
Solutions, for Adobe Singapore.
Other prior positions include AsiaPacific Sales Director for Avid
Technology, and Director of sales,
Southeast Asia for Quantel AsiaPacific. Earlier in her career, Wee
held director-level positions with
Discreet Singapore and Kinetix, both
divisions of Autodesk Asia, and also
Discreet Logic Asia.
Foo has more than 25
years of experience
in business and sales
management
for
the
technology
industry. He joins
ChyronHego from
Ikegami Electronics Asia-Pacific,
where he served for five years
as Strategic Business Director in
charge of enterprise accounts for
the company's broadcast cameras,
video switchers, monitors, and
video microwave systems. Previous
positions include Regional Sales
Manager for Grass Valley Singapore,
and Regional Sales Manager for
Philips Digital Video Systems.
Both are based in Singapore and will
report to Paul Weiser, ChyronHego's
Vice President of Sales for the
Americas and Asia-Pacific region.

or Gold Coast 2018, NEP Host
Broadcast will provide HD television
coverage from 18 venues along with
the opening and closing ceremonies.
NEP Host Broadcast is responsible
for the International Broadcast Centre
(IBC), which is the nexus of all GC2018
broadcasting activity. NEP also won
the contract to provide IBC and venue
facilities for the Australian Rights
Holder, the Seven Network. Recently
when NEP needed to provide a solution
for the Australian Rights Holder to
transport multiple live HD signals over
IP connections between various venues
and the IBC, they turned to Digistor
and Caton for the solution.
Digistor MD Andrew Mooney said:
"NEP was looking for a technology
solution to transmit live camera

signals from multiple stadiums and
sports fields to the International
Broadcast Centre (IBC) for production
of the Games' broadcast. The solution
needed to be robust, flexible, quick
and easy to install.
"We presented them with a variety of
possible solutions but the Caton option
was the clear winner."

NEP's requirements were to send
10 HD SDI video along with up to
eight audio channels from multiple
remote venues back to the IBC whilst
simultaneously sending HD SDI video
and audio channels back from the IBC
to each of the remote locations.

lomo.tv recently completed a
project that saw the installation
of two Dominator AT/3G production
servers at the Moscow broadcaster TV
Center.
The servers have been installed and
commissioned in the centre's main
Outside Broadcast (OB) vehicle.

Chief Executive
USA / IND: Amagi has appointed
Deepakjit Singh as its Chief Executive
Officer. With nearly 30 years of
experience in broadcast technology
- including executive positions at
Encompass, Ascent Media, Bharti
Airtel and BT - Singh has been
brought in to increase the footprint
of Amagi across the globe.
"Deepakjit is one of the most wellregarded leaders in broadcast
technology today," said K.A.
Srinivasan, Co-Founder of Amagi.
"And, he will be a huge part of
helping Amagi build upon its global
success, especially within the U.S.
and other rapidly evolving markets.

Singh will work with the team
to continue and expedite its

The server installation is a key
element of a major upgrade of the OB
truck, enabling it to process a diversity
of new video and data formats, such
as 3G as well as continuing to support
legacy formats. The customer, TVC,
specified a production workflow
that
handles
DVCPro
HD and AVC Intra video
files, which are standard
functions of Slomo.tv's
Dominator AT/3G server.
Already installed and
commissioned, the two
server systems support
32 cameras within the OB
truck environment where

to create an end-to-end SaaS
solution for OTT video delivery.
Veygo's Meta_Video Player for
content and subscriber management,
secure
player,
analytics

applications, has been integrated with
Harmonic's Electra media processor
and VOS 360 media processing SaaS to
provide operators with a Cloud-based,
pay-as-you-grow solution.

or 16 channels with XAVC
100Mbit codec.
In replay mode, the two
servers can support four
operator workplaces with
six individual cameras at
each workplace.
