NBC Olympics used 30 Lyric
systems, with about half deployed
at its headquarters in Stamford,
Connecticut, and the remaining
used at NBC Olympics' production
facility at the International
Broadcast Center in PyeongChang,
South Korea.
In addition, multiple ChyronHego
Live Compositor systems will be
used for producing additional
programming and digital content.

With the media industry migrating
to Video over IP (VoIP) technology,

access to alternative interfaces
from SDI I/O provided by Epoch
hardware. The IPConnect extension
for the cross-platform Bluefish444
SDK enables access to video, audio
and ancillary data via the current
SMPTE 2022 VoIP standard

Shotoku To Show
Enhanced Interface

American operation, has revealed
plans to bring a significantly
enhanced version of its External
Control Automation Interface
(ECI) to NAB. The upgraded
interface incorporates powerful
new features that add a layer of
intuitiveness and functionality for
Shotoku's flagship TR-XT robotic
camera control system.
The company's exhibition plans
also coincide with the one-year
anniversary of Shotoku USA, a
company founded to support
Shotoku's significant and growing
customer-base in North America.

PHABRIX Testers
At Games IBC
KOR / GBR: Bexel ordered 31
PHABRIX Sx portable HD/SD
analyser/generators, including six
Sx TAG analyser/generators plus 25
SxE units with eye/jitter analysis,
for use during the winter sports
season. This test and measurement
equipment was used for quality
control and troubleshooting by
engineers in the field and studio.
The ultra-compact Sx test and
measurement
range
offers
advanced capabilities including
hybrid IP/SDI performance (Sx
TAG) and physical layer testing
(SxE).

Centre Opens

UJIFILM FUJINON has opened a new
state-of-the-art service centre in
Brookvale, NSW.
FUJIFILM Australia General Manager
- Recording Media and Optical Devices,
Marc Van Agten, said: "FUJIFILM
FUJINON have a unique offering as
far as service is concerned. Combined
our lens engineers bring decades
of experience to the centre and the
ability to fix optical products from
high-end binoculars to broadcast and
cine lenses.
"To celebrate our new facility we
are offering a fixed price lens health
check that covers every aspect of the
lens' mechanical, electrical and optical
operation and includes a full lens clean
and detailed report."
The brand new facility houses state
of the art equipment used to repair not

only a full range of optical devices, but
also the company's high tech medical
ultrasound products.
FUJIFILM Service Centre Manager

James Thomson said: "The new service
centre focuses clearly on quality,
efficiency and flexibility."
He said that commitments for SKY
NZ and Australia's Parliament House
had seen technicians spend over
eight weeks performing preventative
maintenance service work.

RTW's TM3-3GS units were primarily
used by the ORF in the International
Broadcast Centre (IBC) in South Korea,
where programmes for the Winter
Games are edited.
RTW's TM3-3GS TouchMonitors are
part of BNC's effort to increase the
capacity of its mobile editing suites,
not only for the Winter Games but also
for ski tournaments, Formula 1 races,
cultural events (Salzburger Festspiele,
etc.) and current political events such
as elections.
