Tata Communications'
Asia Head Of Sales
SIN: Tata Communications has
appointed Andrew Yeong as its Head
of Sales for Asia region.
Yeong will be responsible for the
growth of Tata Communications'
business across all industry verticals.
He will also support strategic efforts
in growing and maintaining the
company's position in the network
infrastructure market.
Commenting Yeong said: "I am
excited to join Tata Communications
and play an integral role in the
team that continues to lead from
the front in breaking new ground
with its innovative approach to
enabling organisations and service
providers in their end-to-end digital

experience

Adder Appoints
APAC VP Sales
SIN: Adder Technology has named
Loki Ong as VP Sales for the APAC
region.With extensive experience in
KVM technology, Ong will be working
within Adder's global sales team,
and will be primarily responsible
for driving sales of Adder's IP-based
KVM products and solutions in APAC.
"It is great to be joining Adder at
what is such an exciting time for
the company," said Ong. "I've been
working with KVM technology for a
long time now, and so working for
the leading IP-based KVM solutions
provider in the world is a very
exciting prospect."
Before joining Adder, Ong was
head of sales for Infilan, and
was responsible for managing a
sales team. Ong is also a DCPROcertified datacentre practitioner.

Dalet Expands
Team In Japan
JPN: Dalet has appointed Reona
Yanagishita to the Dalet Japan team.
Yanagishita steps into the PreSales & Solution Architect position,
spearheading workflow design and
consultancy for Dalet's Japan-based
customers. A tech savvy expert and
media industry veteran, Yanagishita
brings over 10 years of experience
that will strengthen Dalet's strategic
efforts in the Japanese market.
Commenting on the appointment,
Takato Yamaguchi, Dalet General
Manager, Japan, said: "Reona is a
key addition to the team and with
his experience, we can expand our
guidance capabilities with deeper
understanding of the Japanese media
landscape and operation models."
Yanagishita
has
a
deep
understanding of broadcast
workflows for largescale

broadcasters
as well as IT/broadcast
infrastructure.

Input Media Launches
Productions In Australia
W

ithin months of launching, Input
Media in Australia recently
secured its first contracts with two
major domestic sports federations.
Cricket
Australia
and the National
Basketball
League have

both recently signed production
agreements for live streaming and
broadcast solutions with Input Media
Australia, launched earlier this year
following the acquisition of Input
Media in London by Gravity Media
Group (GMG).
The launch of Input Media Australia
has followed that acquisition and is the
next phase of GMG's global expansion.
"It's fair to say we have hit the
ground running," said Chris Law, MD
of Input Media Australia. "Input Media
launched in Australia with two goals in
mind.
"The first is to support endto-end broadcast production
as part of the overall GMG

group offering that sees Input Media
Australia
providing
production
expertise with Gearhouse Broadcast,
the technical facilities and HyperActive
Broadcast, the post-production.
"The second goal is directly
beneficial to our clients who don't
have in-house broadcast or production
expertise and are looking to improve
operational workflows and drive cost
efficiencies, particularly at sporting
events."
Cricket Australia is one of Input
Media Australia's first clients who have
adopted a live streaming solution,
which offers high end broadcast
quality production for sports events at
an affordable cost.

Bexel Boosts 4K Sony Inventory

exel is expanding its 4K and
HDR capabilities with the initial
purchase of five Sony PXW-Z450
camcorders.
Over the next year, Bexel, a NEP
Broadcast Services Company, will
increase its investment to 20 of the
camcorders, which will see their first
use for coverage of the upcoming
events in PyeongChang, South
Korea.
"With the growth of OTT
services, many of our clients
are stepping up production in
4K and UHD projects for a variety
of non-traditional platforms such

as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Facebook
Live, and YouTube Live," said Tom
Dickinson, Vice President, Technology,
Bexel.
"Many of these shows, particularly
the unscripted ones, involve a fair
amount of field acquisition work

camcorder is better suited than is a
cinema-style camera."
Dickinson also noted a growth in
demand for HDR, which following a
pending update, the PXW-Z450 will
provide. The PXW-Z450 camcorders,
the first 4K shoulder-style cameras
to join the Bexel rental inventory, are
able to record 4K QFHD (3,840 x
2,160) at 50p/59.94p, as well as
a variety of HD formats including
XAVC Intra, XAVC Long GOP, MPEG
HD 422, and MPEG HD 420.
Bexel's 4K inventory includes
Sony 4300 cameras for studio
productions.

Accedo Delivers Asian SportsFix OTT Service

ideo experience pioneer Accedo
has worked with SportsFix to
deliver Asia's first dedicated OTT sports
live streaming service in the ASEAN
region.
Fast-growing start-up SportsFix was
launched in Malaysia in August this
year and offers both live and VOD
content via mobile and mobile web to
