ZEISS Unveils Milvus 1.4/25
he ZEISS Milvus 1.4/25 is the latest
focal length to be added to ZEISS's
largest range of lenses for full-frame
single-lens reflex cameras.
The lens, which was developed for the
DSLR systems from Canon and Nikon,
is suitable primarily for landscape
and architecture photography and for
journalistic shots and videos.
"The completely new optical design
ensures superior performance across
the entire image field," says Christophe
Casenave, Product Manager at ZEISS.
"This results in high-contrast photos
and a harmonious bokeh."
Thanks to a maximum aperture of
1.4, this lens can capture exceptional
images even in poor light conditions.
"Even at full aperture, there are hardly
any colour fringes," says Casenave.
"The finest details can be reproduced
in high definition and contrast all
the way into the corners." The metal
housing is what makes the lens
robust, and its dirt and dust
protection makes the ZEISS
Milvus 1.4/25 ready for action
even in adverse weather.

rotation angle enables precise

Vocas Delivers For Panasonic AU-EVA1
ocas has new accessories ready to
deliver for the Panasonic AU-EVA1
Besides all the universal compatible
accessories, Vocas has dedicated items
specifically designed for the Panasonic
AU-EVA1 ready to ship.
This new H-cheese plate is
Panasonic AU-EVA1 and can be used
in combination with the original top
handgrip of the camera as well as the
Vocas top handgrips. It provides the
user with many accessory attachment
points on the top of the camera.
Vocas also developed a handgrip
rosette adapter for the Panasonic AUEVA1. This adapter makes the original
Panasonic handgrip compatible with
all standard rosette accessories. The
extender cable can be necessary when
relocating the handgrip.
The viewfinder bracket kit for
Panasonic AU-EVA1 is meant to replace
the original viewfinder bracket of this
camera. This bracket uses a NATO rail
system to connect the camera to the
viewfinder and prevents the viewfinder
from "twisting", which can result in
a crooked horizon of the image. This
kit is a combination of the following
products: a viewfinder bracket and
single NATO rail with Sony/Panasonic
8T (110 mm).
The new MFC-3(F) follow focus
system is also compatible with the AUEVA1 camera. This follow focus system
is unique because the focus knob and
drive gear consist of only one part, so
there is no transmission in the new
MFC-3(F). The "F" in MFC-3F stands
for adjustable friction. Rotating the
red knob allows you to fine tune the
internal friction of the MFC-3F to your
The new Vocas Pro rail
support is perfect for the
Panasonic AU-EVA1. This
compact support provides
cameras with front and even rear rails
at the same time. In combination with
the new shoulder support it transforms
in a perfect shoulder rig.
The possibility of placing the
clamping block upside down, allows
the rails to go across the top of the
shoulder support. This allows you to
add additional accessories such as a
counterweight behind the shoulder
support to get an even more balanced
setup. For exactly this purpose Vocas
developed a new 15mm counter weight
of 1 kg.
The height of the Pro rail support can
be adjusted so it will be suitable for
Panasonic AU-EVA1, and also cameras
such as Sony PXW-FS5 and Canon EOS
