Gearhouse Broadcast
Appoints Business
Development Manager
GBR: Gearhouse Broadcast has
appointed Jo Adams as its Business
Development Manager.
Adams will work closely with Ed
Tischler, Managing Director of
Gearhouse Broadcast UK, to pursue
new commercial opportunities
across the projects, rental and
systems integration divisions
within the UK business.
Ed Tischler, Managing Director of
Gearhouse Broadcast UK said: "Jo
has an impressive pedigree within
the broadcast sector and will help
us to reach new customers across
our business."
Having been involved in the
broadcast industry for the past 17
years, Adams has an impressive
track record. She spent the past 11
years at NEP, working as Client/
Commercial Manager, and
more recently Sales and New
Business Manager. Prior to that
she covered a range of roles
at ITN over a six-year period.

Group One Appoints U.S.
Calrec Sales Manager

USA: Group One has appointed Rob
Lewis as Regional Sales Manager
for Calrec Audio consoles.
Lewis will report directly to Group
One President Jack Kelly and will
manage all Calrec sales in the
southeastern U.S.
Kelly said: "With years of
experience in the sales and support
of broadcast audio consoles,
Rob further strengthens our U.S.
based Calrec team with his strong
technical background and deep
market knowledge."

presence in the U.S. market, Group

partnership just got even stronger
with Rob's addition to the team,"
said Dave Letson, Vice President

Lewis was previously director
of U.S. territory sales

working with a new sales agent in
Taipei (Taiwan) to further strengthen
their activities in the Asian market and
to better meet the needs of customers
in the Asian region.
Samuel Chen is an expert in all
things KVM and the industries using
the equipment. From now on he will
support the international G&D team
and the established G&D partner
network on site.
G&D have been dedicated to KVM
for more than 30 years. The company
operates close to the market in order
to include the functionalities required
by users into new products.
The manufacturer focuses entirely
on high-quality equipment made in

Germany and offers the broadest
portfolio of KVM extenders, switches
and matrix systems available on the
market.
With Mr Chen as the new sales
agent for the Asian region, G&D
customers will benefit from shorter

communication channels.
He will also be able to provide G&D
partners and end customers with the
comprehensive consulting they are
accustomed to in order to implement
KVM applications exactly according to
individual project requirements.

ENCO DAD Radio Automation At Moose FM
M
oose FM in British Columbia
recently deployed an ENCO DAD
automation platform.
Broadcasting from the small city
of Fort St. John, low-power FM radio
station CKFU 100.1 brings country
music and local sports broadcasts
to listeners in northeastern British
Columbia, Canada under its 'Moose FM'
branding.

Already planning to replace their
end-of-life Scott Systems SS32
system within two years, Moose FM
accelerated the switch when their
primary on-air computer crashed in
January. Up to that point, the plan
to replace SS32 had been motivated
primarily by support concerns.
"There was no longer any SS32
technical support to help us," said

Adam Reaburn, Owner and General
Manager of Moose FM. "In a smallmarket station like ours, I'm my own
engineer, so support is a vital piece of
the puzzle."
Following a recommendation from
Saskatoon,
Saskatchewan-based
systems integrator Pippin Technical,
Reaburn found ENCO DAD met all
of the station's criteria for price,
reliability and future flexibility, while
also offering a level of familiarity that
would enable a smooth transition.
ENCO converted Moose FM's library
database in advance and remotely preconfigured the new systems - three
workstations for on-air, production,
and traffic/administration - before
providing two days of commissioning
and training on site.
