MuxLab's Audio/AMP over IP
extender supports dual twochannel analogue audio inputs
with a microphone over an IP
network via an Ethernet switch. A 50
watt two channel amplifier is included
on the receiver which can be bridged
to support a 100 watt mono output
and, when paired with MuxLab's
70 volt transformer (500755-70V),
supports a 70 volt speaker system
over longer distances in a daisy-chain
configuration. Multiple audio sources
and destinations can be configured in
a virtual matrix, allowing users to send
any audio source to any destination.
MuxLab has also announced a

its HDMI 2.0 audio extractor with video

Neutrik's OpticalCon MTP 24 is
a ruggedised and dirt-protected
24-channel fibre optic connector based
on MTP technology. Neutrik states
that the connector can be cleaned
easily without any tools, and is dust
and water resistant to IP65 standard if
mated.
A spherical dust shutter protects the
fibre from contamination. The colourcoded connector is pre-assembled and
available with a variety of cables. The
rear compatibility of the connector
fitting with standard MTP/MPO
breakout cable allows easy adaptation
to fibre standard connectors such as
LC, SC, ST.
OCC (Optical Cable Corporation)
has introduced a new RJ-45 plug
with an integral circuit board that
provides control of crosstalk, return
loss, and other impediments to
achieve consistent performance at
frequencies up to 2 GHz. It is intended
for use with Category 8 Ethernet
cable, allowing voice, video or other

high bandwidth applications to run on
copper cable for distances up to 30
metres.

Low damping values and high-quality
screening are claimed to enable 3G
signal transfer over 100 metres.
