TNDV Tames
Road to the Horse
USA: TNDV recently produced the
coverage of the world's premiere
colt starting competition, the
Road to the Horse 2017 was held
at Horse Park's Alltech Arena in
Lexington.
The 2017 event features female
clinicians competing to tame,
saddle and ride a wild colt in
record time. The annual threeday event drew thousands of
horse-loving spectators, as well
as a global online audience that
watched the live webcast on Road
to the Horse TV.

For Kiel Week

the live stream broadcast of Kiel Week.
The largest sailing event in the world,
Kiel Week is also the largest summer
festival in northern Europe, it brings
together close to 5,000 sailors, 2,000

boats and some three million visitors
from around the world each year.

Lawo VSM
UAE: Dubai Channels Network
(DCN) has ordered Lawo's VSM
system for two new OBs.
DCN recently ordered the VSM
Broadcast Control and Monitoring
System for two new OB vans to be
installed on redundantly designed
servers, providing sophisticated
and flexible, IP-based broadcast
control and monitoring, integrating
management of all on-board and
external equipment within a single
system.
VSM uses a TCP/IP backbone and
offers maximum interoperability
through the use of manufacturerindependent protocols.

Imagecraft Flypacks
Rely On FOR-A
USA: Imagecraft Productions is
relying on FOR-A Video Solutions
for its flypack solutions for use in
high-end live event productions.
Recently, the rental house invested
in a number of FOR-A video
production solutions for flypack
use, including an HVS-2000 video
switcher, FA-1010 signal processor,
MV-4200 multi-viewer and MFR5000 router.
The Los Angeles-area company
has worked on productions for
many major broadcast networks,
including ABC, NBC, ET, E!, Comedy
Central, HGTV, MTV, A&E and Food
Network.

Vatican TV Selects Sound Devices

ound Devices is the preferred
audio manufacturer for the Centro
Televisivo Vaticano - Vatican Television
Centre (VTC), the official broadcaster of
Vatican City.
As part of the ongoing efforts to
bring superior quality and technical
advancements for its broadcasts
around the world, the VTC reached
out to Sound Devices' top Italian
audio reseller, Nagrit Srl, to inquire
about updating their audio recording
equipment.
The Vatican had used analogue tape
recorders for many years, and they
were looking to make the jump to
digital audio recorders. In search of a
portable, user-friendly audio system
that came equipped with wireless

of a new watercraft-based wireless
transmission system to feed into the
live stream broadcast from the event.

would enable reliable ship-to-shore
live transmission of footage while
minimising power consumption and
payload.
Among the Vislink equipment
being used is a next-generation,
highly customisable wireless camera
transmission system capable of
supporting the dynamic action of
live sporting events, as well a suite
of diversity receivers and decoders
targeted at compact wireless camera
and microwave link use.
