Decentralised antennas connect to
AES67 switches and then to Artist
frames equipped with AES67 client
cards. The beltpacks support Bluetooth
4.1, allowing either a Bluetooth
headset or a mobile phone to be
connected. When a mobile phone is
connected, the beltpack can act like a
car's 'hands-free' phone setup so users
can receive calls on their phone and
talk/listen via their beltpack headset.
Users can also connect a call into the
intercom matrix, eliminating the need
for a telephone hybrid. The beltpack
itself features six buttons for each
of the six intercom channels, plus a
separate reply button accessing the
most recent channel that called.
RTS Bosch now offers a way to
integrate its analogue keypanels into
optical fibre networks. The FMI-4
and FMI-8 are fully compatible with
RTS intercom matrices. Multiplexing
several analogue cables into one
single optical fibre allows easy network
configuration via software routing and
provides full redundancy in a double
fibre configuration. The FMI-4 has four

ports with serial control, line level
audio inputs and outputs, along with
serial data links on RJ45 connectors
for communication between intercom
matrices and auxiliary devices. The
FMI-8 is an eight-port version.
Sonifex has introduced a new range
of audio-over-IP talkback/listening/
paging Intercoms which use Ravenna/
AES67. The first intercom to be
released is the AVN-TB10AR, a 10
button, 10 station device. Comms
can be made as a talk action, a listen
action or a duplex talk/listen action
to/from each station. RGB LEDs in the
key-cap buttons show which action is
being used, A callback button displays
when a recipient is unavailable to
receive a call, together with
a callback list on the front
panel display. The stations
can be anywhere on the
AoIP network with autodiscovery of new stations.
Each unit has both 4-wire
and AoIP connectivity.
Other features include
echo cancellation, built-in

Unity Intercom offers a 6 channel
full duplex intercom system, itself
called Unity Intercom, which connects
over Wi-Fi or mobile networks. The
system consists of client apps which
run on iOS and Android devices plus a
server app which runs on an Apple Mac
computer. Features include third-party
comms integration and programme
audio. Unity Cloud is an alternative
way to use Unity Intercom from a
cloud based server. Customers simply
sign up, download the app and are
ready to go. Unity Connect can send
and receive up to 64 separate audio
streams across the Internet. Audio can
be sourced from a Dante system and

new V-Series Lever Key-Panels: a
32-key intercom panel (V32LD); and a
16-key expansion panel (V16LDE).
The new panels offer higher key
density and advanced programmability
in the same panel space as the current
models.
The new V-Series lever key panels
provide 33% more lever keys in a 2RU
intercom panel and 1RU expansion
panel without compromising on label
display or other features. There are
now three main lever key-panel types:
a 1RU with 12 keys, a 2RU with 32 keys,
and a portable desktop unit with 12
keys, as well as a 16-key expansion
panel for greater capacity. Effectively,
it is now possible for a user to access
48, 64, 80, or 96 keys using up to four
expansion panels. Eight named shift
pages provide additional key labels
on the main panel to quickly allow
the panel change configuration for
different set-ups.

In addition, there are four new
programmable
Function
buttons
that can be used to immediately
access advanced system functions
such as Key, IFB, Partyline and Group
assignment. Located on the front
of the panel, the Function buttons
enable faster execution of common
panel operations or advanced level
operations available in the Eclipse
HX systems. The ease of use means
that users do not require any special
training to initiate these operations.
The new 32 key V-Series panel also
provides a USB charging port as a
convenient source of 5v DC.

Wisycom's CRT16 is a belt-worn
UHD transceiver that allows full
duplex communication. It can work
independently or as part of a largescale wireless intercom. Available
in magnesium housing, it can be
operated up to 15 hours using size-AA
alkaline or rechargeable NiMH cells.
Zaxcom's new ZMT3 miniature
transmitter allows up to ten channels
of wireless digital intercom in 1 MHz
of spectrum bandwidth. Measuring
56 x 41 x 14 mm and weighing 62g, it
can transmit encrypted audio using
Zaxcom's MARF format which can
be converted to WAV or
MP3. A removable microSD
card captures files as a
backup or as a standalone
recorder. Zaxcom's 2.4-GHz
RF network allows users to
control settings such as gain,
frequency channel selection
and output levels remotely.
