Appointments
Fuller Named As CTO
Globecast Americas
USA: Globecast has appointed
Ken Fuller to the post of CTO of
Globecast Americas.
Fuller, who will lead the company's
technical development and manage
a team of 30 in the US, will report
to Globecast COO Philippe Fort.
Prior to joining Globecast, Fuller
was SVP of Operations at Deluxe
Entertainment Services Group.
Previously he was SVP and General
Manager at Encompass Digital
Media.
A past president of SMPTE, Fuller
was Director of Broadcast and
Network Operations NBC New
York, receiving five Technical
Emmy Awards for NBC's Olympic
broadcasts.
Globecast Americas MD Eddie
Ferraro commented: "Ken's
impressive experience in
broadcast
and
satellite
transmission as well as OTT,
VOD and media management
makes him an incredible
asset to Globecast."

Rycote Appoints Hall As
Chief Marketing Officer
GBR: Rycote has appointed Richard
Hall as Chief Marketing Officer.
Hall said: "Rycote is a respected
and valued brand which has been
trusted by audio professionals
for decades, and it is an absolute
privilege to be a part of the next
chapter in the Rycote story."
Developing and delivering the
company's brand and marketing
strategies, Hall will report directly
to Managing Director Simon
Davies.
Commenting Davies said: "We are
delighted to confirm Richard as
our new Chief Marketing Officer
at Rycote. He has been brilliant in
his role of Brand & Marketing
Manager, and brings a wealth
of expertise and passion to
the management team, that
will really help us continue to
drive forward our ambitious

Leica Primes For
Big Pictures

W Sonderoptic has introduced the
Leica Thalia series of prime lenses.
The set of nine spherical lenses
provides an image circle of 60mm
diagonal, which covers ARRI Alexa
65, VistaVision, and Super 35 film and
digital formats.
In focal lengths of 24, 30, 35, 45,
55, 70, 100, 120, and 180mm, the
PL mount lenses offer /i Technology
metadata contacts in the mount. The
lenses have a 95mm front diameter
and matched focus and iris ring
locations.
Compact at 4.9" to 6.9" (124.5 to
175cm) and weighing between 2.4
to 3.75lbs (1.06 to 1.6kg), the Thalia
lenses iris maintains a circular shape
through the aperture range.
