EVS Delivers SNRT's
Core News Infrastructure
MAR / BEL: Moroccan broadcaster
SNRT has contracted EVS to
deliver a fully-centralised HD news
production infrastructure.
The country's public broadcaster
- which owns and operates ten
television channels - will use the
EVS technology as it transitions to
HD. With XS3 live media servers
at its core, the news production
workflow will be shared by SNRT's
channels to produce current affairs
and breaking news programmes.
This will streamline its overall
operational costs and create easier
access to shared content.

Riedel's Bolero
Wireless Intercom

introduced the Bolero wireless
intercom solution, an expandable,
full-roaming, DECT-based intercom
system in the license-free 1.9GHz
frequency range.
Fully integrated into Riedel's
Artist digital matrix intercom
platform, Bolero offers a rich set
of features and connectivity that
can be applied in three ways: as an
exceptional wireless beltpack, as a
wireless keypanel, and as a walkietalkie radio.
Running over a standards-based
AES67 IP network, the beltpacks
providing the highest levels of
flexibility and programmability.

VidOsat's Ku/Ka Band
Satellite Terminal
USA: VidOvation has launched its
all-new VidOsat, a lightweight,
portable, and easy-to-deploy Ku
and Ka-band satellite terminal.
With advanced features such as
3G/4G cellular bonding via the
AVIWEST DMNG Pro transmitter,
the VidOsat is suited to DSNG,
coverage of live sports and
entertainment events, on-location
Wi-Fi connections, and many other
mobile satellite applications.
The collapsible VidOsat terminal
can be easily transported as
checked luggage in its two included
IATA-compliant cases.

Tripods And Fluid Heads
C

artoni will introduce a new tripod
system and significant expansions
to its Master, Maxima and Lambda lines
of fluid heads at NAB 2017 in Las Vegas.
Highlights include the SDS (Smart
Deployment Series) system tripod, the
MASTER 65 and MASTER 30 broadcast
and studio heads, the MAXIMA 30
cinematography head, and the Lambda
25 3rd Axis and the Total Dutch head.

in our new tripod and heads," said

direct feedback from operators and
include a number of patented features

SDS (Smart Deployment Series)
Tripod expands and improves upon
Cartoni's popular Smart Stop twostage, single-lever trigger technology
with a new Smart Lock mid-level
spreader. It features a patented "nobind" mechanism.

Cartoni's MASTER 65

MASTER 65 is a heavy-duty head for
broadcast cameras with larger zoom or
box-type lenses. It features Cartoni's
patented Magnum counterbalance
system and unique silicon fluid drag
system. At a payload capacity of 44 lbs
(20kg) to 143lbs (65kg), it is the largest
fluid head in the MASTER series.

4K cameras and EVS servers - all
controlled and monitored by Axon's
Cerebrum platform via a single fully
customisable user interface. The
vehicle will also feature a range of
Axon 4K infrastructure products and
hardware panels.

integrates seamlessly with the rest of
the solutions we employ and always

delivers to the highest standards," said
Daniel McDonnell, Managing Director
of Timeline Television. "We have
complete confidence that Cerebrum
will provide agile and robust control
on-board our new 4K IP truck and will

Many of the broadcast projects
delivered by Timeline Television have
Cerebrum at their core. Most recently
this has included the Dubai World Cup
in March.
Working once again with UKbased Racecourse Media Group,
who undertook the production
of all 20 of the season's fixtures
from Meydan Racecourse, Timeline
Television provided all of the technical
infrastructure including cameras,
horseback reporter cameras, the EVS
systems and graphics.
