Nielsen To Lead
DPA Microphones
DEN: DPA Microphones has
announce that Kalle Hvidt Nielsen
will become the company's
new Chief Executive Officer on
September 1, 2016.
"I'm thrilled to join such a strong

the company as it continues to
innovate the audio industry."
Nielsen comes to DPA Microphones
from
Topsil
Semiconductor
Materials A/S, where he has been
CEO since 2011. Previously, he had
CEO positions at Bang & Olufsen
A/S and Brüel & Kjær Sound &
Vibration Measurement A/S.
Nielsen will succeed interim
CEO, Thorsten Reuber, who
has managed the company
since January 25, 2016.

Ackerman Appointed
Accedo Chairman
SWE: Video experience pioneer
Accedo has appointed industry
veteran James Ackerman as
Chairman of the Board.
Ackerman, formerly of A&E, BSkyB,
OpenTV, Documentary Channel
and Broadway Systems, said: "The
traditional value chain is evolving
with new and existing players
embracing OTT technologies to
reach consumers and monetise
video content in new and
innovative ways.
"I believe that Accedo is perfectly

Arqiva Signs Contract
With Inverleigh

A

rqiva has been selected by
specialist
Australian
media
company Inverleigh to distribute
its
premium
sports
content
internationally, representing a first win
for Arqiva's new Australasian office.
As part of a three year, sixfigure contract, Arqiva will use its
international leases on AsiaSat,
Eutelsat and Intelsat, along with its
teleports to distribute Inverleigh's
programmes throughout Asia, Europe
and the Americas.
Peter Wraith, CEO at Inverleigh

broadcasters already love our high-

value content solutions and we have
no intention of stopping there. The
focus for Inverleigh is to continue our
international growth, and by working
with an experienced partner like
Arqiva we believe we can deliver a
reliable, high quality programming
solution to a growing
broadcaster
base
to meet our clients'
demands."

the deal as a "great

milestone for our Australasian office".
The programmes will initially be
delivered from Inverleigh's Melbourne
base to Arqiva's Sydney Teleport
Services (Sydney PoP) via FTP, but
Arqiva aim to move to a full-time fibre
connection in the future.

Forscene Accelerates Post
For Lucas Oil OTT

ports broadcaster, Lucas Oil Racing
TV, has chosen Forscene to provide
fast turnaround edits for their OTT
motor racing content.
The motorsport specialist is using
Forscene to produce race highlights
packages which are then distributed

directly to a global audience through
their website and OTT platforms.

Lucas Oil's involvement developed
into producing racing television
programmes with outside production
companies, and then launching its
own studios to provide content for
networks including ESPN, Speed, CBS
Sports, and NBC Sports.
In 2011 Lucas Oil purchased MAVTV
and has since grown the channel
to become the television leader in
motorsports.
A shift to OTT viewing saw Lucas
Oil Racing TV provide a direct-toconsumer platform for motor racing
content.
