New Fibre-Optic Solutions From
Cobalt Digital
C

obalt Digital will introduce a new
family of fibre-optic solutions in
both the openGear format and Blue Box
Group (BBG) mini-converter boxes at
the 2016 NAB Show, where visitors will
also see the latest upgrades to existing
Cobalt products.

New openGear products 9433 Series Cards: These fibre-optic
audio embedder and de-embedder
products will be available in a singlechannel,
unidirectional
EO-to-OE
configuration and a dual-channel,
bidirectional EO/OE transport solution.
The latter version will provide
bidirectional extension of two 3G/
HD/SD-SDI video signals and multiple
analogue and AES audio signals over
two fibres. When paired with the +DT
licensing option, the card set will also
provide bidirectional serial data and
GPIO connectivity.
9410 Series Cards: These 3G/HD/
SD-SDI single-channel, dual-channel,

and transceiver fibre
cards provide up to 40
channels of 3G/HD/SDSDI extension in just two
rack units.
9415-SFP Series Cards:
A set of dual-path fibre
transport cards with an
external SFP cage on the rear module,
allowing the user to pull the card out
from the front of the chassis while
keeping the SFP and cabling in place
or hot-swap the SFP module from the
rear.
9942 Router Series Cards: Cobalt
will also present a new series of
compact 3G/HD/SD-SDI multirate
router cards for openGear.
