RX Audio Repair
USA: London-based post house,
Envy Post Production, has
successfully integrated iZotope's
RX audio repair and enhancement
suite throughout its facility.
Largely Avid-based by customer
demand, the work in Envy's 110
offline edit suites feed through
to sound editors and mixers in 12
high-spec Pro Tools audio studios
with state of the art plug-in sets.
iZotope RX tools are being used
for the repair and restoration of
dialogue and audio.

PIX-LR Audio
Interface Ships
USA: Video Devices has announced
that the PIX-LR audio interface
for the PIX-E Series of recording
monitors is now shipping.
An optional accessory, it provides
the PIX-E5, PIX-E5H, and PIX-E7
monitors with XLR inputs and
outputs.
It also features Sound Devicesdesigned mic preamps, accurate
LED metering, and dedicated
transport and gain controls.
The PIX-LR mounts to the bottom
of any PIX-E Series unit, and
derives power from the monitor.

Calrec Makes Further
Connections

A

t the 2016 NAB Show, Calrec Audio
will showcase four new networking
interfaces.
These include an AES67/Ravenna
interface, an AVB interface, and a
modular I/O Dante card that also
has AES67 compatibility. In addition,
Calrec will debut a SMPTE 2022-6
video interface.
"We're drawing a line in the sand
with these products," said Dave
Letson, Calrec's Vice President of
Sales. "We had held back on publically
stating Calrec's formal direction on
AoIP until we had properly assessed
the market and talked to our
customers. We strongly feel that it
is not the role of a manufacturer to
dictate which route to take, but to
facilitate the broadcasters' choices.

"Calrec's customers can now
interface with multiple protocols at the
same time. For example, a signal can
be received via AES67 and then sent
out via SMPTE 2022, AVB, Ravenna,
Dante, or AES67. Signal-processing
takes place via modular cards or 1U
boxes."
Each element of Calrec's protocol
range redundantly connects to
Hydra2 and appears like any other I/O
resource on the Hydra2 network.
The AES67/Ravenna and AVB
interfaces are a 1U box that can
transport 256 channels of audio on a
single connection. A second expansion
card provides the unit with 512
channels of audio.

receive, route, and distribute
SDI signals up to the latest
4K/60 standards on a single
cable, an industry first."
Fully
compliant
with
SMPTE ST 2081 and ST 2082
standards for SDI video, the
UHD-12G can be controlled by
any version of Utah Scientific's
current family of routing
control systems.
The UHD-12G is shipping in
32 x 32, 144 x 144, and 288 x
288 frame configurations.
