Panavision
Co-Location
USA: Panavision has opened an
expanded 30,500 square-foot New
Orleans operation. The facility
represents the first co-location
with Light Iron since the company
was acquired by Panavision
last year. The high-tech space
houses prep rooms, a full range of
filmmaking equipment, and access
to technical specialists.
The Light Iron space houses a
DI theatre that can be used for
reviewing camera tests, setting
looks, and screening dailies.
The facility offers offline editorial
suite rentals.

Krivit Takes Up
AES Presidency
USA: The Audio Engineering
Society (AES) has appointed John
Krivit as President. He takes over
the leadership role from Andres
Mayo. Previously Krivit served
as chair of the AES Education
Committee and is currently an
Associate Professor teaching at
Emerson College and Bay State
College in Boston. Krivit was voted
President-Elect of the AES in 2014
and has served on the Executive
Committee of the Board of
Governors over the last year.

of CABSAT will continue to drive

Deluxe European Deal For Live NFL
D

eluxe Entertainment Services
Group (Deluxe) has been awarded
a three-year digital content distribution
contract by MP & Silva to deliver live
NFL games to broadcasters throughout
Europe.

Deluxe's MediaCloud platform will
deliver select NFL regular season
games (up to seven games per week),
all playoff games, and the Super Bowl,
one of the world's largest sporting
events.
"Deluxe's technology enables
the NFL to bring our games to our
existing and future European fans
in a high quality and cost-effective
way," said Jeff Lombardi, Senior
Director - International Operations
of NFL. "I have seen the quality
and reliability first-hand from our
offices at NFL Films using Deluxe
MediaCloud."
The technology has the capability
Deluxe will distribute NFL content in Europe

to distribute the regular season games
simultaneously and the capacity
to extend to additional games
simultaneously as required.
Deluxe will also deliver NFL RedZone
and other NFL content and media
assets for use in highlights packages.
The games will be managed and
delivered by Deluxe's Broadcast
Delivery Network (BDN).
The BDN has industry leading
security and delivers resilient, highquality video signals at up to 4K across
the globe.
MP & Silva is the latest content rights
holder to take advantage of Deluxe's
global delivery capability.
