Panasonic Updates AG-AC90
AVCCAM Camera Recorder

anasonic's AG-AC90A AVCCAM
camera inherits the image
quality from the original camera,
and features enhanced network
capability.
The 12x optical zoom lens starts
from a wide angle 29.8mm (35mm
equivalent) to 383.7mm. The
camera features a high speed F1.5,
BI (back-illuminated sensor) type
3MOS image sensors providing FullHD resolution.

Marketing Manager at Panasonic,
said: "These new features give a
camera operator the ﬁeld of view,
image quality and file formats
needed to meet today's demanding
video production requirements. The
triple manual rings (focus, zoom and
iris) have the versatility and image
control, while XLR audio inputs
and remote terminals provide the
system expandability essential for
professional applications."

own quiet way worked extremely

the broadcast industry in general.

USA: The Society of Motion
Picture and Television Engineers
(SMPTE), a leader in motionimaging standards and education
for the communications, media,
entertainment, and technology
industries, has announced plans
for a new partnership with the
Hollywood Post Alliance (HPA).
The partnership will begin with
SMPTE providing administrative
support to HPA, and it is expected
to culminate in the merger of the
two organisations by May 2015.
The partnership unites two leading
technical organisations serving the
media and entertainment business.

Merger Move

GER: WORK Microwave,
manufacturer of advanced satellite
communications, has announced
that its DVB-S2 modulators and
modems now feature Carrier
Identification (CID) technology,
according to ETSI TS 103 129,
enabling satellite operators to comply
with the new DVB-CID standard
ahead of the mandatory deadlines.
The modulators and modems allow
operators to identify and eliminate
the sources for interfering signals on
satellites, provide a higher quality
of service (QoS) to customers, and
reduce operating expenses.

Expand Services

LUX / RSA: Intelsat S.A. has signed
a 15-year service agreement with
MultiChoice, Africa's leading pay
TV provider, on a new satellite to
be added to the Intelsat network.
Intelsat 36 expected to launch in late
2016 will be co-located with Intelsat
20 at 68.5˚E, Intelsat's premier DTH
neighbourhood in Africa. MultiChoice
has been a customer since 1995.
