IDX Endura CUE Battery Range Offers
Power, Safety And Reliability
E

ndura CUE is the new battery
range from IDX that combines
superb reliability at a lower cost.
This Lithium Ion battery range
has been designed to meet the
most stringent PSE regulations for
electrical and mechanical safety -
essential for work and travel abroad.
Thanks to the latest advances
made in microchip technology and
improvements in battery design
and build, the range provides all
the beneﬁts today's broadcasters
need at a more affordable price.
Advantages: To ensure varying
requirements are met, there are
three models in the new range -
Endura CUE-D75, Endura CUE-D95
and Endura CUE-D150. All batteries
have one (D-Tap) DC output
connector allowing peripherals to
be powered direct. The V-Mount
connection is a worldwide standard
ﬁtting and the preferred mounting
system for the broadcast industry.
A discharge cut-off prevents
the batteries being damaged by
products without a voltage sensing
shutdown mechanism. Four bright
power status LEDs provide a
quick check of remaining power
capacity. The range complies with
all published international standards
and comes with a one year capacity
better than 70% and a two year

defects warranty.
No Compromise: To achieve
the CUE range's cost-saving
beneﬁts, IDX has worked closely
with its partner, Sanyo - the world's
premier supplier of Lithium-Ion cells.
Improvements in design and the
manufacturing process have been
combined with developments in
microchip technology. These
innovations have helped reduce
the component count and improved
reliability.
All circuits have been tested
and approved to maximise the

performance and longevity of the
cells. The cells used have been
matched and specially selected by
Sanyo as best for purpose.
Reliable & User Friendly:
Additional features of the Endura
CUE range include battery circuit
protection. This guards against
the common causes of battery
misuse including over-charging and
discharging and exposure to high
temperatures.
Endura CUE high performance
Li-ion batteries are lightweight and
compact. Using a P-V2 or a P-VS2

adaptor plate (available separately
from IDX) they can be used without
a standard V-mount connection if
required. The range is, of course,
fully compatible with all Endura
V-Mount chargers and accessories.

Grass Valley Partners With AJA To
Enhance K2 Dyno 4K Capabilities

rass Valley, a Belden Brand, has
announced a partnership with
AJA Video Systems that will provide
4K enhancements to its K2 Dyno
Replay System.
Grass Valley is integrating AJA's
Corvid Ultra and TruScale scaling
hardware into the K2 Dyno to drive
real-time pan and zoom to allow
HD extraction from 4K acquisition
with DynoZoom.
With DynoZoom functionality
integrated into the K2 Dyno,
and available on all resolutions,
customers will now have extended
workﬂow ﬂexibility to create engaging
replays and highlight packages.
Corvid Ultra video capture cards
are part of AJA's family of video
and audio I/O products to facilitate
high-bandwidth and high frame rate
workﬂows. They support 2K and
4K as well as high-quality scaling
capabilities for all resolutions
through true 4K.
With support for high frame rates

(48p, 50p and 60p), 4K workﬂows
and onboard debayering, Corvid
Ultra video capture cards provide
maximum performance for the most
critical applications. Its TruScale
arbitrary scaling engine allows highquality up or down scaling of any
raster ranging from tiny web video
up to 4K. TruScale is real-time and
key-frameable, allowing motion
video to be efﬁciently resized while
maintaining pristine image quality.

by RT Software.
All of these features are controlled
from a single K2 Dyno Replay
Controller touchscreen. K2 Dyno
also includes new AnySpeed
dynamic playback algorithm, which
automatically guarantees smooth
playback during transition from
any speed from zero to 200%
and in speed transitions for ultra
slow-motion 6X playout. It also

integrates with Grass Valley's latest
high-speed cameras and the K2
Summit 3G Production Client, and it
is compatible with higher resolutions
and frame rates.

them the ability to take advantage
of stunning 4K images in HD and
in real-time. With these added
