Managing Multiple Cellular Uplinking Units

he rise in citizen journalism,
and the more general usergenerated content, coincided
with the development of cellular
bonding technologies for broadcast
professionals.
These trends continue, facilitated
by the rise in app-based consumer
technologies and connectivity. The
principle of being able to be in the
right place at the right time, even if in
the case of user-generated content
that's mostly more by luck than
judgement, is one that has powered
the development of cellular uplinking
technologies.
In turn, this has seen an increase
in the capabilities of reporters in the
ﬁeld. Even as recently as a decade
ago the idea of a truly one-manband reporter summons up images
of somebody with the technological
equivalent of cymbals on their head
and a kick drum on their back.
Weighing around 1 kg (2.2
lbs), LiveU's new LU500 offers
the ultimate combination of high

Listening to the market and the

MHC II connectors are available
in to to four and six to eight channel
sizes. Each uses a bayonet-style
mechanical coupling interface for
easy mating to receptacles with
a simple twisting motion. The
MHC II eight channel connector
