IMT To Showcase
RF Central Microlite
HD Systems At NAB

showcase its full range of RF
Central microLite HD wireless
camera systems at NAB 2014.
Comprising the RF Central
microLite HD camera-top transmitter
and two RF Central microLite HD
camera-back transmitters with
Anton/Bauer and V-Clip mounts,
the complete microLite family of
HD transmitters' unprecedented
ﬂexibility gives broadcasters various
docking options for compatibility
with nearly every ENG camera on
the market today.
Users can mount the RF Central
microLite HD camera-top transmitter
via a hot shoe, as well as pair it with
Litepanels camera-mounted lighting
solutions. For the Anton/Bauer and
V-Clip battery-docking options, the
mount is positioned on both sides
of the clamshell transmitter. The
battery can then be mounted to the
transmitter, allowing the battery to
power up the transmitter and then
pass power through to the camera.
All microLite transmitters deliver
100-200mW robust output and
are available in licensed 2GHz
1.98 to 2.5GHz frequencies and
2.3 to 2.7GHz for international
customers. It can also operate in
license-free 5.8GHz, ISM band or
be conﬁgured to operate between
5.5 to 6GHz, giving broadcasters
the option to operate in its own
regulated channels. For our APAC
customers 4.4 to 5GHz systems are
also available.

The H.264 video encoder
supports the main proﬁle of the
H.264 standard, providing a 30%
bit rate reduction or video quality
improvement compared to encoders
that only support the H.264
baseline profile.
IMT is now offering RF Central
microLite HD systems in kits,
available with any of the three
docking options. The kits provide
a complete video RF link in a
portable package, with all required
accessories. Featuring RF Central
microLite HD transmitter and
receiver, the kit includes handselected antennas optimised for
high gain, durability and low weight,
providing exceptional range without
compromising microLite's signature
portability. IMT will host interactive,
audience-operated live demos
throughout the show.
The RF Central microLite kits also
feature ergonomic mounting on the
receive end. An adjustable magic
arm mount, from sister company
Manfrotto, allows users to place
the receiver in challenging locations
to achieve optimal reception. With
a conﬁgurable DC power cabling
system and AC power supply, the
adapters and cables can be mixed
and matched between the receiver
and transmitter for total flexibility.
The microLite kits are packaged in
a shock and waterproof pelican case,
which is custom ﬁtted for all the
accessories. To provide convenient
delivery to its international
customers, Vitec Videocom will
now be reselling IMT's RF Central
microLite HD family of systems.
