FOR-A’s FT-ONE
4K Slo-Mo Camera
F

OR-A Corporation of America
has showcased its FT-ONE full
4K super slow motion camera at the
Cine Gear Expo at The Studios at
Paramount in Hollywood.
FOR-A displayed the FT-1READ
- a RAW data to DPX converter
available with the FT-ONE camera.
First introduced at last year’s
Cine Gear Expo, the awardwinning FT-ONE is ideal for digital
cinematography applications.
The camera is the ﬁrst of its kind
to complete the 4K workflow
by introducing the ability to
simultaneously record and play
back super slow motion images
at full 4K resolution. The FT-ONE’s
high-sensitivity CMOS colour sensor,
FT1-CMOS, enables high-speed
recording at up to 900fps.
The camera captures images as
uncompressed raw data on the
system’s internal memory, which
has a recording capacity of 9.4
seconds. This data is then stored
on one of two hot-swappable SSD
cartridges, each of which is capable
of storing 84 seconds of full 4K
resolution images.
FOR-A also showcased the FT1READ, an option available with the
FT-ONE for easy ﬁle conversion. The
FT-1READ takes the RAW data from
the SSD drives, imports all recorded
info, and converts it to a DPX file.

Corporation of America, said:

forward to showcasing the camera
and its stunning 4K capabilities
again at this year’s show.”
The FT-ONE camera uses a PL
mount lens and a global shutter
system, which allows the camera
to capture fast-moving subjects in
crisp detail at 4K resolution. The
FT-ONE is designed as a selfcontained unit that is dependable
and easy to use.

the Deca Camera and
Accessories Bag.
Featuring an ultra-wide opening,
the wheeled carrier will tote a fully
equipped camera such as the Sony
F65 or ARRI Alexa.
The PA1000 offers a squared design
with a smooth rolling built-in wheel
and trolley system to facilitate easy
transport to any set or location.
For enhanced protection, the
carrier’s internal structure is made
from a one-piece honeycomb
frame, offering strength and
protection without adding
extra weight. Within, the
fully-loaded camera or
other contents are
cushioned with soft
padded brushed
polyester in an
easy to view
orange colour.

detachable dividers.
Plus, the top lid is equipped with
a handy zippered pouch of clear,

Below, the lower floor can be

a single large compartment for a
camera or any mix of accessories.
Twin storage pouches provide room
for other accessories.
It features a built-in telescoping,
square-frame tote bar, and inline
skate wheels for smooth rolling.
Outside it features
ergonomic
interlocking
grip handles
and external top
straps to secure a
tripod.
The PA1000 bag
weighs 6kg and has
exterior dimensions of
58cm length x 35cm
width x 40cm height.
