achtler has expanded the Ace
product line with the new 75mm
Ace L ﬂuid head. The new ﬂuid head
will be available with a choice of
three different carbon-ﬁbre tripods.
In comparison to the popular Ace
M, Ace L has an extended payload
range of zero to six kilograms (0 to
13 lbs). This makes the new ﬂuid
head extremely versatile: whether
ﬁlming with a lightweight videoenabled DSLR camera, a heavier
rig with camera accessories, or a
HDV camcorder, says the company.
Seven

patented SA dragTM (Synchronised
Actuated Drag) damping with three
vertical and three horizontal grades
of drag (+0), which provides an
authentic broadcast feel and familiar
dependability for precise panning
and tilting. Popular Sachtler features,
such as the illuminated bubble level,
round out the new Ace L fluid head.

bubble level – all at the same price/
performance ratio which quickly
made the Ace M the most popular
tripod system in its class,” says

Vinten Radamec has created
the key to entry level robotics
with its new CP4 control solution.
The CP4, which debuted at IBC
2012, is a simple and easy to use
product designed speciﬁcally for
use with small, robotic heads. It
provides the ideal cost effective
solution for a variety of applications
- from regional news studios and
conference centres, to houses of
worship and legislatures.

Utilising ﬂexible Ethernet network
architecture, the CP4 has a Windows
based touchscreen user interface
that can be conﬁgured to control
up to four heads, and store up to 40
pre-set shots. The desktop solution
is easy to upgrade to include a
user conﬁgurable option, with the
capability of controlling up to eight
heads and 200 pre-set shots.
The CP4 is a competitively priced
product that has been designed
to meet the needs of operators
regardless of their level of robotics
knowledge, and provides a solution
that is easy to use, install and
maintain. It supports the Intelligent
Control Engineering (ICE) protocol
that is incorporated into the recently
released series of Vinten Radamec
next generation heads. The ICE
technology delivers unprecedented
control and accuracy in a highly
compact form.
Vinten’s Vision blue5 pan and tilt
head and tripod system has “the

extremely successful Vision blue
system, but with a higher carrying
capacity of 5.5kg to 12kg / 12.1lb
to 26.5lb @ 100mm CofG. This
makes the Vision blue5 ideal to
