Studiovision Lebanon Look To
Grass Valley For HD OB Truck
W

ith growing demand for
HD content, Studiovision
Lebanon looked to Grass Valley, to
provide the latest OB solutions for
its new state-of-the-art production
truck.
Studiovision Lebanon has installed
14 cameras (12 new LDX WorldCam
multiformat HD cameras and 2
LDK 8000 Elite camera systems),
a Kayenne 3 M/E switcher, a Trinix
NXT 256X512 routing switcher with
integrated multiviewer, a K2 Summit
3G media server, and a K2 Dyno
S Elite Replay System in its new
OB vans, making them the ﬁrst
3G-capable OB vans in the region.

with them as they use the LDX
WorldCam to further push their
production boundaries,” said Alan

USA: GlobeCast has signed a
multiyear contract with Arise News,
a newly launched global 24-hour
TV network that will deliver news
and current events programming to
audiences across Africa and Europe.
GlobeCast will provide full
HD playout, uplink, and satellite
capacity for Arise News’ HD
channel, Arise News HD.
Arise News has plans to roll
out additional news bureaus in
Washington, DC, Dakar, Senegal,
Nairobi, Kenya, Dubai, UAE, Rio
de Janeiro, Beijing, New Delhi,
and Los Angeles.

Volicon Observer
PER: America TV is using Volicon’s
Observer digital video monitoring
and logging system for competitive
analysis, capture, and repurposing
of news content for the Web,
monitoring, and ad verification.

The Observer system performs
continuous recording to verify that

Qube Installs
4K 3D System
USA: Qube Cinema has installed a
single-server 4K 3D system at Moody
Gardens ahead of the GSCA Film
Expo and Digital Symposium in Texas.
The single Qube XP-I server
delivers 4K stereoscopic imagery
to two Barco 4K projectors each
with its own embedded Qube Xi
4K Integrated Media Block (IMB).
The venue now joins the ranks
of giant screen theatres in North
America with 4K 3D capabilities.
