Leader Adds S-Log Gamma
Correction Display Option

eader has announced support
for the S-Log gamma correction
system used in Sony’s F65 camera
as a major enhancement to its
LV5330 multi-SDI monitor.
Addressing the camera’s output
parameters, George Gonos,
President of Leader Instruments
Corporation, said: “Dynamic range
is substantially improved and pixel
count is hugely increased, requiring
very high precision focus. With this
new monitoring feature, the LV5330
is fully capable of emulating an
S-Log display over the entire
dynamic range.”
This enhancement enables digital
cinematographers and high-end
television content producers to
perform real-time signal monitoring
with much greater conﬁdence than
when using a standard viewﬁnder.
They also have access to a
digital zoom function for making
precise adjustments to focus.

operation, the Leader
LV5330 is compatible with over 20

YCbCr, YRGB, YGBR, GBR or RGB
luminance waveform, colour vector,
five-bar, surround-sound level,
status or video source.

and interfacing at NAB.
The Penta 720 is a 2U modular
audio interface which provides
embedded audio inputs/outputs
via video SDI/HD/3G and
analogue-to-digital/digital-toanalogue conversion.
Designed for use in television
or radio studios, OB vehicles and
public-event venues, it comes with
eight channel AES3 input/output
channels, MADI, two IP audio
Ethernet in/outs and an Avid Pro
Tools interface.
