Ltd. (PPL) will present a range of
audio, loudness, tally, distribution
and SoundField products. “CABSAT
allows us to connect with both
broadcast and satellite industry
professionals in the Middle East,
Africa and South Asia regions,
and keeps us abreast of emerging
trends for 2013,” says Chris Exelby,
Managing Director of TSL. “This is
particularly exciting timing for TSL,
as we have recently appointed
Swarup Mukherjee as Regional
Sales Manager for the Middle East,
India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. The
addition of Swarup to our team helps
us to service our customers in the
region better.”
TSL PPL has a wide range of audio
monitoring units in its product line,
many of which have been installed
by major broadcasters across the
globe. At CABSAT, the company will
highlight its new SAM1-3GM Studio
Audio Monitoring Solution and the
Monitor Plus Audio (MPA) and PAM
Pico models for audio monitoring.

Integrated
Microwave
Technologies, LLC (IMT) will feature
its latest digital microwave video
systems for portable and ﬁxed-link
applications from its Nucomm and
RF Central brands.
“IMT looks forward to
demonstrating a wide range of its
technology to attendees at the
upcoming CABSAT show,” says
Integrated Microwave Technologies
Divisional Chief Executive Stephen
Shpock. “As the Middle East and
Africa’s largest broadcast digital
media and satellite expo, CABSAT
is the perfect avenue to meet with
our local customers and distributors,
and learn more about the speciﬁc,
growing needs of broadcasters in
this region of the world.”
IMT will be demonstrating its
RF Central 2-GHz microLite HD
Transmitter. The camera-mountable
2-GHz microLite HD transmitter
features SD/HD encoding in a
miniature transmit solution package
and has been specially designed
to address both the domestic and
international broadcasting band
requirements within a single unit.
The microLite HD now covers from
1.9 to 2.5GHz and delivers up to
200mW from a package of less than
12 cubic inches. Designed for a new
generation of HD (SDI)-capable
compact cameras, the transmitter
supports video and embedded
audio transmission.
The unit’s size makes it suitable
for broadcast ENG operations.
The 2-GHz microLite HD may be
camera mounted via a hot shoe
or paired with Litepanels cameramounted lighting solutions. It
features superb H.264 SD and
HD encoding capabilities and
operates in the standard 2k DVB-T
COFDM mode. The H.264 video
encoder supports the main proﬁle
of the H.264 standard, providing
a 30-percent bit-rate reduction
or video quality improvement
compared to encoders that only

support the H.264 baseline profile.
The RF Central RMR-X6-II will also
be on display. The RMR-X6-II is a
software-deﬁned, six-input digital
diversity receiver that provides
maximum ratio combining, DVB-T
receive capabilities, an ASI output
for forwarding the stream, UDP
streaming over IP (Ethernet) and
an internal MPEG-2 SD/HD decoder.
The unit is controllable via the front
panel, RS232, or Ethernet. Streammonitoring capability is provided
for network management. The
sophisticated monitoring of the X6II allows viewing of RF parameters
such as SNR and transport stream
functions for continuity and stream
identification. A local CVBS onscreen display, in addition to the
front-panel OLED, gives the operator
all the vital characteristics of the
incoming signals with a data and
spectrum viewer screen.

its technical furniture design and
manufacturing capabilities and
will be represented by Neil Reed
(Managing Director) and Gary Fuller
(Sales Manager).
“CABSAT has proved an excellent
show at which to meet new and
existing customers in the Middle
East and African markets,” Neil
Reed comments. “Central to
our exhibit will be the Module-R
range of control room furniture
and Media Wall monitor display
supports. We are also equipped to
produce project-speciﬁc designs
of practically any size and shape
in a wide range of finishes for
control rooms and graphic suites.

Consoles speciality is heightadjustable furniture under manual
or electrically powered control.”
Custom Consoles’ Module-R
product range allows customers and
system integrators to create robust,
efﬁcient and attractive control-room
desks from a selection of standard
interlocking elements. These include
high-quality single-bay, dual-bay
and triple-bay desk sections with
front or rear access, work surfaces
in matching widths, corner desk
sections in 90 degree, 45 degree
or 30 degree angles with integral
worktops, a slide-out keyboard
drawer, equipment pods with 3U,
6U or 8U capacity, a 19 in storage
pedestal and 27U equipment bay.
A new feature of Module-R is a
redesigned steel and aluminium
vertical support with internal
cable ducts. Resting on a broad
load-bearing skid, the new design
provides improved strength and
stability, protect studio carpet
and allow easier relocation during
technical rebuilds. Module-R
furniture is available as off-theshelf units in beech, cherry, maple
or oak ﬁnish with a choice of hardwearing arabesque, black or blue
marmoleum worktops. Cabinet
construction is in veneered MDF
with continuous brush-strip edging
and easy cable access.
“We will also be promoting the
latest version of our SystemTwo
range of height-adjustable studio
workstations,” adds Gary Fuller.
“SystemTwo is a multi-element
furniture system designed to
accommodate free-standing or
pod-mounted equipment such as
graphics workstations and editing
terminals. The SystemTwo range
includes the S2-01B desk and
S2-02B shelf, both electrically
adjustable in height from 660 to
1,250 mm. The key new feature
is a redesigned leg system with
improved strength and stability
and an integral load-distributing
floor skid.”
