What’s New In Audio Mixing Cont.
Midas’ Mixtender iPad app provides wireless remote control of the PR02 and PR02C digital mixing systems permitting an engineer to access fader levels and output GEQ remotely from an Apple iPad. 64 input meters and 27 output meters can be viewed simultaneously in real-time on the console overview screen. Multiple iPads can be used on a single console simultaneously, and the mix engineer has the option to lock each iPad so that it can only access one mix. This allows individual performers to control the monitor mix on their own iPad without making changes to any other area of the console. Mixtender also provides wireless remote control of all fader levels, including input faders, all bus c o n t r i b u t i o n s Midas and masters, VCA, and MCA fader levels. Roland Systems Group has released a new ﬁrmware update (V1.5) for its M-480 V-Mixer console. Features include a scene fade function, increased audio delay capability (up to 1.2 seconds), and ﬁve new channel effects. Solid State Logic announced V5 software for its C100 HDS digital

on a bright wide-angle display. The labels support Unicode characters including Chinese and Kanji. Bus buttons assign programme plus three auxiliary sends per fader. Each fader has a change button and cue button plus a soft-key button which can be used for talkback or intercom. Other integral features include a cue speaker and front-rail headphone monitor jacks (standard and miniature). An optional meter bridge displays programme levels and switched source levels with

dual OLED screens for timers, clock, profanity delay indication or userdefined text. A tri-colour stereo LED bargraph meter simultaneously displays peak and average metering. TFT screens on each side of the LED bargraph can display auxiliary buses, studio monitors, inputs, or any other mix. Two tally LEDs are also provided, one to indicate that the studio is on air and the other to show that the microphone is on or that the programme is live in the adjacent studio.
