Ultra Slo-Mo Sports
The I-MOVIX X10 has been chosen for 2012’s most prestigious sporting event. The event will mark the production debut of the X10, with systems located at selected competition venues. The X10 goes beyond the functionality of previous systems by delivering 300-fps real-time continuous streaming in 1080i for an “always on” ultra slo-mo view of the action. Thanks to its typical LSM workflow, the X10 gives production teams the ability to use it as a conventional HD camera, and it provides a consistent and familiar user interface and controls that any broadcast crew can use immediately, without specialist training. Each X10 system is used with an EVS XT3 live production server, and as fully integrated, broadcast-ready solutions, the X10 systems will be deployed in mobile trucks as easily as conventional camera systems. Vizrt Korean TV Graphics
KOR: Vizrt has signed a major deal for the implementation of broadcast graphics solutions with a Korean TV channel. The solution includes Viz Engine to power the channel’s HD content. Viz Artist will be driving dynamic 3D graphics design. Template management will be handled by Viz Content Pilot, which will also be the CG for the control room. In the studio, Viz Video Wall ER will display realtime HD content.

Riedel Opens Moscow Office
RUS: Riedel Communications has opened an office in Moscow joining its ten offices in the US, Europe, Asia and Australia. Reidel say that the branch will enable more direct contact with its customers. Recent projects in this region include the studio installation at the Kiev based broadcast network STB, the Moscow business broadcast network RBK and ANO Sports Broadcasting.

Graphics provider MOOV will be working with Sunset+Vine on its BBC horse racing productions. The contract, which began with the 2011 Welsh Grand National at Chepstow, includes the 2012 Grand National at Aintree, the Derby at Epsom Downs, and Royal Ascot. MOOV will provide in-race graphics, including detailed information on each horse – the jockey, trainer, and recent form – the latest betting and results information, as well as presentation graphics. During each racing event, the production team will use two Chyron HyperX3 systems connected to the racing database interface software.

The agreement gives Accedo and its customers a key enabling technology as they develop new social TV, interactive advertising, and other applications for the fast emerging – and converging – smart TV and smart device markets. In addition, it helps to strengthen Audible Magic’s position as a global leader in ACR.
