InNEWS 3Dcode Opens Barcelona Office
Decode, London 3D specialist rental company has opened a base in Barcelona as a further step in their expansion. The office will operate under the 3Dcode banner, which is the new 3D equipment sales arm of Decode. The office is headed by an experienced 3D expert, stereographer Julian Crivelli, as well as sales staff, and will deal with the Spanish speaking countries of Spain, Central and South America, as well as Italy and Portugal, all in their native languages. Julian has over 20 years in the industry and extensive experience in 3D, with credits including feature films, commercials and corporate work. One of 3Dcode’s new D-Rex 3D mirror rigs will be based there, available for rental and also as demo unit for potential sales. Julian has been involved in the extensive development and testing of the Decode D-Rex and D-Raptor rigs over the last 12 months prior to their recent launch at Cine Gear Expo in Los Angeles.

Al Jazeera Sport
Al Jazeera has invested in several Multimedia Exchange Network over Satellite (MENOS) TV interactive terminals from satellite communication company Newtec. The technology will be used to receive TV and data from key sporting events. The award-winning MENOS network is a revolutionary allIP solution for exchanging multimedia content over satellite and is operated by the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU). It enables fully automated, cost-effective sharing of content among scattered sites. The ASBU MENOS network is jointly operated with Arabsat utilising their satellite capacity. The TV Satellite Interactive Terminals will be provisioned in the ASBU network, utilising Arabsat satellite capacity.

Bridge Advances OTT Service Analyses
Bridge Technologies has launched major advances in OTT service analysis – including a complete DVB-T2 MI solution – increasing Bridge Technologies’ scope in comprehensive monitoring systems for the world of digital media. With the Traffic Analysis option, operators can combine detailed monitoring and analytics of broadcast/IP streams and all OTT services under a single unified VideoBRIDGE environment with consistent display and reporting features. The Traffic Analysis option provides even more comprehensive capabilities to the end-to-end VideoBRIDGE digital media monitoring ecosystem. The VideoBRIDGE microVB™ now has complete data-gathering capabilities, allowing operators to capture any packet that passes through the unit and to forward those packets filtered into thirdparty protocol analysis software. The microVB’s new advanced data gathering function gives media service providers and telcos unique 24/7 real-time analysis and low-level analytics capability.
