Opening Keynote: Cybersecurity in the Age of 5G
Countries across the world are racing towards the full implementation of 5G and the technology is set to become a reality
within the next couple of years. As an entirely new network architecture, 5G will fundamentally change the way businesses
operate and how they deliver experiences to their end users. With 5G, cutting edge innovations such as autonomous vehicles,
remote manufacturing, virtual reality and telesurgery will become mainstream. This also means that Communication Service
Providers (CSPs) will now be able to grow their revenue streams through the introduction of new value-added services made
possible by 5G.
However, with an exponential increase in data transmitted across 5G networks, organizations relying on 5G will become
increasingly vulnerable from attacks from increasingly sophisticated cybercriminals. In the race for 5G, what are some of the
crucial focus areas that CSPs have to bear in mind as they implement this new technology?

THE EDGE, CONNECTED CLOUD
Panel Discussion: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly: Are You Ready To Move to Multi-cloud?
Enterprises are used to having multiple suppliers; in a cloud context that makes engineering, security and operations more
complex, introduces risk and often reduces the opportunity to get volume discounts. Inevitably, multi-cloud is nearly always
But how do we choose the right vendor(s) since they all provide different services and what criteria should we use to define the
preferred one or two providers?
Is cloud arbitrage a myth? Clients have spent millions building cloud broker layers, to move workloads between cloud

providers, but this approach loses a lot of cloud benefits and increases complexity. Also, what are some of the cloud best
practices? Cloud providers are innovating at an accelerated pace such that industry best practices change regularly. How do
businesses keep up with that? Finally, talent. Do we have a team for each cloud application or do we get teams to manage and
work across multiple clouds?

Opening Keynote: Asian Smart Cities: Are You Ready for the Disrupted Future?
City readiness for a disrupted future is the foundational theme for future cities and economies to prepare for the opportunities
and risks that digital disruptions will bring.
Over half our world's population lives in cities today and their rapid growths suggest they will become even greater economic
powers. There are increasingly more complex demands on critical infrastructure, policy makers, educators, and industry
leaders across global cities. Competition intensifies as leaders position their cities as ideal places to live, learn, work, and invest
- while being mindful to respond to technological shifts to succeed.
Identifying the set of governing criteria becomes critical to move the success needle and tap on the opportunities amongst the
many vulnerabilities exposed to the leading cities in the face of technological disruptions. Today, we'll look across Asia: which
future city is winning? What is the city readiness for embracing the opportunities and managing the challenges of AI? And
which 'sleeper' cities should current leaders be looking out for?

Parkway Pantai Case Study: Augmenting Healthcare with AI, at Scale
Healthcare expenditure is set to rise over the coming years. Cost will undoubtedly influence patients' decision-making when it
comes to diagnosis and treatment.
UCARE.AI's AI-Powered Hospital Bill Prediction Engine (APACHE) was developed for Parkway Pantai and deployed at hospitals
in Singapore to provide dynamic real-time predictions of bill size at pre-admission with an average 85% accuracy. This
allows for (1) patient financial counselling and (2) price transparency, which builds trust amongst payer, provider and patient.
Ultimately, this case is a first step towards standardization of healthcare cost estimation.
Beyond its application, it is a large-scale implementation that is recognised by the Singapore's Ministry of Communications
and Information as the first successful use case for adopting their recent (PDPC) Model Governance Framework for AI.

Connected Spaces: Leveraging on Disruptive Innovations to Shape Smarter Cities and Increase Quality of Life
Smart Cities are increasingly adopting a bottom-up rather than top-down approach with emphasis on improvement of quality
of life, equality of access, prioritization of social gains, and heightened importance of security, privacy, and human-centred
design. Planning is becoming more collaborative while monitoring and evaluation is being done at a grassroots level.
Innovations beyond IT, such as use of micro-bots, 3D printing, AI/ Big Data, etc. are being leveraged to address all the above.
This panel will therefore focus on the following themes:
* Examples of recent innovations in the Smart City context
* Key technical, ethical and moral challenges with implementation and ways to address

FUTURE OF CONNECTIVITY
Location: Orchid 4202, Level 4, Marina Bays Sands
Panel Discussion: The Future for Satellite Players - Is 5G Going to Accelerate Digital Transformation?
The roll-out of 5G mobile service has the potential to accelerate growth in the future of connectivity but inevitably operators
are facing a pressing challenge of unlimited backhaul capacity requirements, concurrently needing to keep deployment costs
manageable. This session will discuss how satellite carriers and providers bridge this last-mile digital divide, at the same time
embracing a long-term transformative challenge in becoming more than just a mobile service provider that they are today.
What do they need to do now to prepare themselves for the opportunities to come?
* Patompob (Nile) Suwansiri, Chief Commercial Officer, Thaicom
* Richard Swardh, Senior Vice President, MNO, Comtech EF Data
* Jo De Loor, VP Market Development, Newtec

* Terry Bleakley, Regional Vice President, Asia-Pacific, Intelsat
Moderator: Jose Del Rosario, Research Director, Northern Sky Research (NSR)
Panel Discussion: What's the Next Tipping Point for the SatCom Industry? How will AI and Big Data Disrupt This Space?
Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are two technologies that often go hand-in-hand. Advancements in technology have
allowed us to program AI to analyze Big Data sets, deriving trends and insights imperceptible to mere humans. These two
concepts will eventually extend to all areas of the economy, and satellite is no exception. Firstly the use of AI will contribute to
an optimization of satellite networks and related capabilities. In parallel, the use of AI will create new sources of data and traffic,
through the multiplication of smart assets requiring live data transmissions, and through the transfer of intelligence to the cloud
and to the edge of communication networks.
