Streaming Made Easy
KKStream, a video streaming service consultant and technology company,
combines cutting-edge technology with robust knowledge of the industry
to deliver comprehensive video streaming solutions...
KStream's OTT Easy solution is a scalable
video-streaming platform designed to
help service providers kick-start or migrate
to a streaming platform paired with business
intelligence. The company's platform auto
scales to exactly match business needs and
can include additional modules based on
As the world started trending towards 4G
connectivity, KDDI, one of Japan's largest
telecommunications companies, knew they
needed to upgrade the video streaming
platform for their subscriber-based streaming
service, Video Pass, so they approached
KKStream. KKStream seamlessly migrated
Video Pass's entire subscriber base to
KKStream's OTT Easy platform, complete
with a cloud-based transcoding solution and
an easy-to-use content management system.
Combining deep understanding of the industry
with cutting-edge streaming technology,
KKStream provided a streaming platform
solution that not only enabled Video Pass to
become profitable in less than three years, but
also adapts to KDDI's growing business.
KKStream's cloud-based encoding solution
continuously transcodes an unlimited amount
of digital video files into a format compatible
for streaming on all mainstream
devices. Transcoded files support
multi-codec streaming and adaptive
streaming and are further optimised
via per-title transcoding. The
solution helps clients' transition into
a new era of video streaming.
A use case study of KKStream's
encoding solution involves Giloo,
a start-up company that has since
become Taiwan's largest documentary
streaming service for the Chinese-speaking
world. The company discovered that if they
could not transcode hundreds of hours
of documentary films into a digital format
compatible with Hollywood-grade DRM
in less than a week, they would forfeit an
opportunity to host the world's first online film
festival exclusively featuring documentaries.
KKStream ingested and transcoded
Giloo's entire documentary library into
a digital format compatible with studioapproved DRM in just three days and
Giloo successfully hosted the festival.
KKStream offers the perfect balance
of business and technology insight
to help our clients find the video
streaming solution exactly suited to
their business needs.
Streaming on mainstream devices is
